ok i should be getting a new computer soon so yeh, i need a pump and reservoir. All watercooling stuff is from WaterCooling UK (http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk) and all other stuff is from Ebuyer (http://www.ebuyer.com)
So yeh, just making sure everything is compatible and need recommendations on reservoir and pump.
http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/3884/screenshot584.jpg
Some recommendations:
Change graphics card to http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167324 (better performing and cheaper)
Tip two: go i5. Motherboard http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173451 CPU http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172755 or http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172754
Therefore you need dual channel DDR3 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173122 or buy 2 for 8GB
Get this PSU http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173104 (same price but it's modular. You don't need the extra 100W from the other, 650 is easily enough and it's Corsair's 'premium' HX range)
What are you buying that DVD-RW for? Save £10 and get one of these http://www.ebuyer.com/product/169683 or http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164449
Your motherboard should come with enough SATA cables so ditch them extras.

I've always preferred nvidia over ati when it comes to graphics cards, god knows why i just do :P
Any reason for going with i5 rather than i7?
yeh i seen the 650w corsair one i currently have that but decided to stick in the 750w just to be different :P
As last time i bought a cheaper sony DVD-RW a few days after working it runs horribly and loud so figured may aswell spend an extra tenner on 'better' one, it's only a tenner at the end of the day :P
I'm getting sata cables as in my current computers i have 2 500GB hard drives and a cd drive but only 2 sata drives so have to switch about alot for backups or watching a dvd etc as the ones that XFX supplied with the motherboard didn't work so i ordered 3 just to have a few spare in case i ever needed them.
any ideas on pump/res?

So do I, but it's the numbers that are important and ATi's are better.

Cheaper and performs as good as the same clock for clock. People have got the 2.66GHz i5s overclocked at like 4GHz on air as well :S.

So you're getting the HX 650 then?

Well ditch Sony and get the LG one I linked. I have a similar one and it's great. £27 for a DVD-RW drive is a rip off.

Ok, why expensive Belkin ones though. Save a few quid on these http://www.ebuyer.com/product/151963 or http://www.ebuyer.com/product/151962 depending on the length you need (18" is generally plenty)
any ideas on pump/res?
No, I don't know about liquid cooling. I'd just get a decent air cooler TBH.

Yeh i'll stick wit the nvidia :P
i cant really be bothered overclocking so gonna stick with the i7 :P the second processor you linked was an i7 btw :P
i think i'll stick with the 750 aswell ^^
whats dif between modular and the other one? o.0
yeh i want a nice watercooled system with uv, cause it looks cool and all.

Ok.

Why are you buying watercooling? Generally the whole point of watercooling is better cooling enabling larger overclocks :S.

You should get the 650. It's modular so you don't have the wires you're not using hanging about - Much neater and tidier.

See above for description. Pictures modular of here:
Modular looks like this - you plug in just the cables you need http://www.quietpc.com/files/images/products/nes-eecs.jpg
http://simflight.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/1200-psu.jpg
Non modular just have all the cables already there sprouting out.

Spend the money you save on not buying watercooling on higher performance parts ;).

simply because it looks cool.
and oh i might go with the 650 modular then as i hate having loads of cables about doing nothing :P

If you're getting watercooling then overclock a lot.
If you aren't getting watercooling then overclock by quite a bit!
Can also vouch for the Corsair HX series, I have a HX650w and it's been brilliant.

Yeh i already said i have the 650W non modular one and its good apart from point loads of spare cables, so modular should sort said problem.
I doubt i'll overclock it if i get the i7 with watercooling as i doubt it'll have a noticable difference in speed :P
also debating whether to get vista or w7. as i've had vista for a good year but i dont like the look of w7 so..

If you need any w/c advice just ask me
(not being cocky)
For the Pump and res, it really depends what your looking for. If you would like them to be combined, I would look at the Swiftech MCP-355 with the XSPC top & Res combo. If not, look at a Swiftech MCP-655 and a Swiftech MCRES version 2.
If you're not overclocking, seriously do not get water cooling. If your just buying it for the looks then it's not worth £120+. And from my own experience it is not quieter if you want something decent.
scottish

yeh i'd prefer them combined. I was looking at the XSPC 12V X20 Compact 750 but WCUK doesn't sell it :P

Not installing 7 would be a waste. It's far superior to Vista. As said, complete waste of money if not overclocking.
Edit: Overclockers sell some watercooling stuff http://www.overclockers.co.uk/

Watercooling is useless, i5 is useless due to 1366 getting 32nm 6 core, nvidia is useless due to problems with knowing just what the hell they are.

It's true though. It's quite a bad time to be building a new PC this time of year because great tech is just around the corner.
That being said, it's always like that.

I wouldn't go with the XSPC waterblock, however it's just taste really. Performance differences are marginal.
You don't need the bridging tool as it does the same thing as a paper clip, but ultimately it's up to you.
I would have recommended you keep the tubing all of the same size as it can cause pressure issues. Stick with 7/16"
Gulftown (6 core 32nm) is expected to have a very high price tag when its released, so i'm sure a i7 will still make a good choice for a long while - atleast until the price tag for the gulftown comes down.

Yes I think so. 7/16 tubes fit tighter on 1/2 barbs ;).

hmm i got recommended to get a thicker radiator as the XSPC RS240 one is thin so wouldn't be good temp wise, so went with the RX series and got the XSPC RX240 :P

I was on my phone in bed when I posted that so my advice isn't going to be spangly.
Watercooling is a gimmick with i7, you can get a 4ghz overclock on air, have it running nice and stable and barely hear the fan on a Noctua NH-U12P.
Seeming as you're spending £170 odd on a motherboard, get a Gigabyte EX58-UD5 (I use it, rock solid), tis about the same but it's blue. And Gigabyte. Gigabyte is good.
Also get rid of the GT260, get a 5870 or a 5850 depending on budget (if you can find them). ATI are currently superior and should be for the time coming.

http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/9247/screenshot601.jpg is what i've got so far. stil looking into the mobo.
I changed the case as the antec apparently has a stupid design and would be annoying to fit the rad in.
I changed the PSU as i wanted modular one.
Removed the pointless 4m of hose and sticking with 7/16"
Changed clips and anti coil as i changed hose size.
I've been told PromoChill recently has bad shipments of its UV as in dodgy colours so changed the blue (as i'll mostly be using blue and ThermoChill doesn't have red)
Added fan controller as the Xilence fans, as i've been told will give off some amount of noise when running at 12v.
Thats all i've changed i think.

If I were you I would get rid of the Watercooling and get an SSD along with that 1TB drive to store your OS and any games on.
And IMO you need a better graphics card to go with that i7, if you aren't going ATI then at least get a GTX275 or whatever the next one up is from the 260

I agree. Ditch the cooling and spend the saving on better parts. Also ditch the retail DVD drive and get OEM.
