Activision has officially announced during a conference Call of Duty 7 in 2010. The vendor confirms the rumor started by accident recently by an employee of Treyarch. As usual, retains the alternating games produced by Infinity Ward and Treyarch. Also in terms of information gleaned from right to left, remember Activision was looking for pieces of Cuban music, Russian or in connection with the war in Vietnam, indicating that this new episode might take place during the Cold War

Almost definitely going to be within the Cold War unless they do WWII (Unlikely I'd like to think). It would seem Vietnam is their only choice unless they make up their own "conflict". It wouldn't surprise me if Activision tried to do World War III with a war between America/Europe and Soviet Union/China, because that'd sound oh so amazing and original and bring them in a lot of money, although it'd probably be crap.

Be pretty powerful if the whole game was actually a huge interactive drama on the decision to nuke Japan, and you're just in some stuffy bunker tasked with pushing the button. But never see what it does.

Cold War wasn't a bloody war you un-educated bums! Jesus Christ, thats the point in the name! Cold, war. A war that went cold, there was heated discussion and then it cooled down, thus going cold! For goodness sake, can people please stop going on about this! It will never be held on the cold war era because it wasn't a war! And there was no music, because, oh my god, if you dont get it by now. The only thing you could ever have related to the cold war is possibly a spying cutaway activty from the main story line.

Leave it at that for the Cold War rumours for ever. Please.
