Okay once you have your site open, you must make sure you don't have exploits that are OBVIOUS, if you do, your site will be gone and deleted...

1. Try to get a good web host
2. Get a domain name... xD
3. Make sure their are no exploits... maybe contact a scripter or something, and then get them to check! (make sure they're trusted!!)
4. If you want to make money from a Habbo Fansite... you will want all the best equipment and users/staff... like, Departments (competitions, events.. blah), vBulletin (forum), Good layout, Good users, trusted Administrators... and you might want SSL Certificates for more security, they can be expensive tho..

But, the only way to make money is to spend money to get the site going

Thank you,
-Chad

I see what you mean, well if you want to sell websites you first have to practise, I'd recommend doing this on your own computer! Its very easy to do for starts (if you don't have a host), or else you can get a free web host! Then just practise a little bit and you'll get better! Google is your main factor for now, and then, if you want to get really good and designing websites, and want to make lots, then get Adobe Dream viewer, its expensive, but its good, take the trial, its awesome! So anyways, after your done practicing, you can get your own domain/web host where you can sell your websites (example: MrJamezWebLayouts.com) then, advertise it somehow, and sell your layouts!

Dreamviewer? Dont you mean dreamweaver?

Also, your not allowed to ask for rep :P

Its basically what chad said, just practice and get inspiration from other designs

Why would a Habbo fansite, that doesn't require users to enter personal information, or sell anything.. need an SSL certificate?

Use. Less.

I love people who think everything just comes to them from a few tutorials, it aint riding a bike, it takes a lot of time, patience and skill to make a good website that can be successful.

You think you slap a site up, do you think profit just comes?

Tutorials => Google is your friend.

and chadderbox25 (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=64483) Your statement "Spend money, make money" isn't always true, its just something you heard on some **** TV show which you just believe.

For vBulletin, dewd you may need it, for Passwords and stuff, people use Habbo passwords even tho there not supposed too, and trust me, I have a friend (ex-friend lol) in the hacking stuff...

I'd recommend Adobe Fireworks if you want to make a decent layout without it being complicated like PhotoShop.

Oh heres mr big boy thinking he can actually be clever! Mad at you, dream on.

Meaning what? You just said you like it, like you like **** in your ass? Cool story bro.

"Also, I looovee how you linked my account... uhm yea your gonna have to spend money for a good fansite, no duh :/"

How I linked your account, I just copy and pasted your name. Nice one wise ass you really are Mr Clever. I made a fansite back in 2004, I didnt need a hosting account or domain, and it had a moderate amount of people visiting, so yeah your actual statement fails once again.

"Uh Oh, MOD ALERT :)

Thanks,
-Chad "

One last thing, no one actually cares that you get moderated, nor cares what you think or do.

Anyway, Good luck with D&D

Well that's not true, all the websites I've made in the past, I've never had to actually spend any money I own in real-life - depends who you know really.

I didn't say real life or any of that, your going to have to spend money to get a good fansite

Example:
1. Radio
2. Site layouts (if you buy em)
3. Forum (if you buy one (lots buy them))
4. Etc.

And I'm talking fansites, not "General websites"

So what do fansites fall under? Is it not a website?

1. Radio - Wow, again, if you know people, you can most likely get one for free.
2. Site layouts - Wow again, if you know people, you can most likely get one for free - or design one.
3. Form - Wow, again, if you know people, you can most likely get one for free - or use phpBB or any other software.
4. Etc - And the cost of that is..

@Starter Learn the logic of coding by doing PHP or w/e and you will pick other languages up easier and be worth more. Ruby & the Ruby on rails framework are good to learn and make you very employable.

I'm trying to fully understand ZF atm and once I do I'm going to try nail ruby on rails.

Start off with html then go to php imo
