It would be hard to do anything other than that in a 1.4 ford focus. :P
Not a bad starting car but if this isn't your first car I would of looked for at least a 1.6.

Biggest load of **** out to be honest, you can kill yourself in a 1.0 so please ****, second of all, try living in Aberdeen, and getting insured on a 1.6 you're looking at £2000+ plus at my age due to the scene of boy racers.

Shows how much attention I paid to the thread lol.

Yeh but it's not as if your going to be flooring it and spinning out, handling and breaking in a small car like that isn't a problem either. Surely you don't mean 1.0 from stand still? Thats only possible if a car suddenly crashes into you. :P Like GoldenMerc said, you can cause damage in any car. But we are talking about a 1.4 fiesta here, the only way you could cause some serious damage is if you spent a couple of hours flooring it to 40 and was the most pathetic driver ever and swerved into a car for no reason whatsoever. I don't mean to offend you or anything and it isn't aimed at just you but many young men don't actually know what fast is. When you first start driving you think you and your car the fastest thing on the streets. That's normal but when people are still convinced that their 2.0 hatchback is fast when they are in their early 20's then it really is pathetic. As far as I know you are not in your 20's but you really do need to stop thinking that you could cause immense damage in your 1.4 fiesta. :P Save up, get a few years no claims and get something with a bit of power like a subaru/evo/bmw and you will have the shock of your life.

you chat utter crap, as stated you can do damage with any vehicle by simply not stopping for instance, hitting a pedestrian. any car is dangerous

Well yeh thats kind of the obvious, but the chance of crashing/hitting someone in a small, basic, 1.4 fiesta is a lot lower than the average car. Hitting a pedestrian/bumping into another car = possible. Causing some mega disastrous smash up then just no (unless you cannot drive). I'm bored of discussing whether a 1.4 fiesta is dangerous now, peace. :)

Only because your part of the discussion is stupid in every single way.
What (in your eyes) is the ''average'' car then? Alot of cars have 1.4L engines. Cars with 1.4L engines can cause a monumental smash up, that's not dependent on the driver either.
I also struggle to see how you can justify the text underlined, it's not a lower chance, you have the same chance of hitting someone in any car. If I choose to go out on a Bugatti Veyron, or a Fiat 1.1 Punto I still have the same chance of dieing in either car.
You fail hurrendously.

Meaning it requires a specific type of head unit to fit?

Meaning it requires a specific type of head unit to fit?
Just needs a harness to hold it in place basically, most standard radios are one din. However due to my Fiesta having a double din radio:
http://www.nexxia.co.uk/More_Information/images/Ford-6000cd.jpg
I have to get this aswell:
http://budgetcaraudio.co.uk/ds-ebay/products/fascia/FP-07-05.jpg
So the head unit fits. If that makes sense?
That's not the same harness/facia unit I have but it gives the general idea.

OMG, Mint please, just stop posting :P You're so terrible at forming any sort of judgement, you're just as bad here as in the Tech forums, seriously :P
A 1.4 Fiesta is quite powerful actually... The new Ford Fiesta Duratec engine has more power in it than the previous Fiesta engines. It's also lighter and handles better. And a "cheaper, less powerful" car is more likely to NOT get damaged? Oh dear...

I'm not a fan of window-tinting to be fair because being illegal on the front, it looks silly with half the car done.
Is it legal on the front at all (if it's light enough)?
syko2006
26-11-2009, 08:11 PM
I think it can be tinted, but only to a certain amount. :)
most new cars have windows tinted to the factory so you're probably at the limit now. window tinting's a no no from me, although it looks good on some cars.
radio looks awesome as it looks quite flush and not to OTT for the car, and the fascia panel looks nice and OEM, suits the car quite well. The speakers in the parcel shelf, however, look so out of place and i would have personally just upgraded the door speakers or at least done a stealth shelf (take the covers off the speakers, cover them with a thin material which matches the parcel shelf, so it looks like there's nothing there.)
