I think the habbox radio station should be split into 2 sections, this idea was said by someone I'm sorry I forgot your name, I think it'd be a lot better, because then people wouldn't tune out if they didn't like the "squeekiness" of their voice.

Tell me what everyone thinks, might not be in right section.

I think it's fine how it is myself..Wouldn't say we had many "squeekiness" voiced DJs lol.

I want to be a DJ on habbox but everyones saying, from my youtube vids, that my voice is squeeky and that they don't like squeeky voices, so that was just a suggestion

1) Our DJ's are fine
2) This is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard as it makes no sense
3) If we did do this everyone would just tune into the "sr radio"
4) More money

If you don't think people will like you "because your voice is squeaky" why don't you wait until your a little older or until your voice breaks.

I thought about that, but I really can't wait, I've been wanting this ever since I heard of the idea of a radio fansite.

Huh?
Ok, so you're saying that no one wants to hear a "squeeky" DJ? If they don't want to hear "squeeky" why would they go to a seperate radio full of "squeeky" DJs?
There would be no point in having 2 radios :S.

im confused by most of this. 2 radios? wats the point in that since habboxlive is just 1 radio. and yh i dont think we have many if any "squeeky" voiced djs.

Or you could always apply with a voice changer (even though its against the rules)

But listening to what people have said about "squeeky" voiced DJs on my other post, now I don't really feel welcome to even send in an app to be a DJ until I'm what 14. 3-4 years.

I don't think we have a problem with squeeky voiced DJs :P. All of the DJs sound different whether it be through accents or just general tone but we wouldn't split them all up.

Apps are decided on purely on the quality of the DJing and that's how it has always worked and I don't think it would be a good idea to change.

You should apply, you're probably doubting yourself over nothing and you won't know unless you apply.

Well I don't really think anyone wants a 10 year old DJ

Just a thought

your very welcome to be an active and constructive posting forum member, but I don't think HabboxLive really needs a 10 year old DJ?

You are discriminating people against their age simply because their voices have not broken yet? Sometimes males voices do not break till they are around 16 whereas others are earlier.

If you don't like the DJ then simply don't listen to their show or just listen to your own music. We had this problem in the past with people complaining about DJ's voices being too annoying. A voice can be annoying to some and to others it won't be.

Your idea is ridiculous of splitting the radio in two. My answer to you would be to choose the DJ's you like to listen to and only listen to them :)

Right, so was the bold part intended to be directed towards me, if yes then get your facts straight because it was this 10 year old idea to have 2 radios, he has no idea of the effects of making a second station, such as the cost. I have no problems with any of the current HxL DJs and am very happy to listen to any of them, and do on a regular basis

I've realised from your comments that 2 stations wouldn't solve anything, but what some people are sayin is that no one can be a Dj until they're what 13?

It doesn't matter what anyone else says because they aren't the ones who decide who is hired. Age isn't taken into consideration it is about the quality of the DJing. I think the minimum age Habbo say for players is about 11 so we wouldn't expect people under that age to be applying really.

yeah nice one senior DJ advising people to break the rules.

Also i think everyone would tune into the good radio so why bother just go to a **** fansite if you have a weird voice :D!!!

Also you shouldn't be a DJ until 13 minimum!! you won't connect to the listeners when your a pre-teen in all honesty you won't watch what they watch or relate to what they can relate to. Also some people are really rude to you on request line and maybe other DJs so yano you would be rather young

I think sadly the whole idea is too complex and just won't work, as people like professional DJs on their radio, sure some of the junios maybe quite good but it'll not match the main radio. It'll cost more server money and just won't work and become too much ehadahce for managment. I see how you want to be a DJ and that's great to hear :D! I would advise you to try and DJ on smaller fansites, a few of them may have pretty alright listeners rates, maybe gain a bit of experience and try on HabboxLive in the future. Many people do that and we won't discriminate over voice as much, it is really all about the quality of the sound clip as your natural voice.

I disagree with Lucy to the above statement that you should be over 13. We have had quite a good number of 11/12 year old DJs in the must. Sure that is not our main demographic at all with the average age beng between 14-16, but there are chances to get in with a younger age if your good :).

Splitting radio into Sr & Jr i dont think would be very good but having an Alternative would be nice. So if you didnt like one DJ you could switch to next channel. More staff i guess would be hire but blah.

i think the idea of having two diffrent radios is not such a great idea
although we do value any feedback given..
but i personally think its good to have variety of diffrent age groups.. you may have a squeeky voice sso you say but habboxlive don't discriminate against your voice seriously!! (:
if your a good DJ jess would only look at that in all fairness everyone is diffrent and not everyone likes the same people so maybe someone might lilke you =)
dont let it discourage you from applying to be a DJ here once you get past this you tend to forget about what people think and your here for hxl. and nothing rlly matters because its so great (:

what im trying to say iss.... apply your not loosing anything yet you have a chance of gaining a place on the team.. (:

Just my two cents on this:

Gibs next time dj apps open, go apply. Your voice is fine.

Comes across as quite rude in my opinion...

Which are you trying to scare away more? Younger DJs or Suggestion Makers? Wow...

If you are under 13 don't apply. Simple.

This made me chuckle at the ignorance of this quote because everyone's voice may develop at different times and that everyone is different. We in the past had many superb 11 and 12 year old DJs and I think have a couple now. It isn't about age, it's about the desire and whether you have a nice voice. Even if you don't get in this time round there are many chances to practice on smaller scale fansites which are always great buildings blocks and a very good technique. Just keep on trying and don't give up hope :)

Your not even allowed to register on Habbo if your under 13 so surely they shoulnt be DJ's here...

1) You have to be 13 to sign up to habbo now (or maybe 11) but he said he is ten earliar, so it is too early anyway.
2) Someone else has said this, but I will emphasise it again - he will not have the same interests as TEENAGERS (oh wait the target audience.)

Sorry but it is fact.

2) - It's not fact at all. I have the same interests as a 30 year old. When I was 7 I had the same interests as a 13 year old. Modern day pre-teen children tend to have similar interests as teenagers. At least, I know of quite a few... So no, it is not fact.

Nope, it used to be 11 to sign up. Now it's been raised to 12.

Children aged 12 and upwards are welcome to play Habbo.

What Danny mentioned is correct. A 12 year old won't have the same interests as a 17 or 18 year old either. But all DJs no matter what age managed to connect with listeners before.
