Aww sorry to hear this, it's happened to the best of us. Including myself but unfortunately you have to just stick in there and give it time to recover. Only thing I can remember which helped me when it was really painful was painkillers.

I bruised mine many months ago, at the time it was hurting like hell. All this time later it doesn't hurt but I can still feel my tailbone hurt every so often when sitting/standing (tiniest, unnoticeable amount of pain). When I had just bruised it, I even arranged an appointment to see the doctor after seeing no improvement for a month, I was proscribed with ibruprofen and they really help to get rid of inflammation and pain.
