Nah! What was last week, 5 draws in 5? Not exactly top 4 form yourself. It's still possible, very possible for Liverpool to get that 4th spot. I think, City's metal will be tested, and it's then that the difference between an average team playing well (Liverpool) and a team of excellent mercenaries will be shown. Liverpool will play for each other and City will play for money.

Liverpool away, should do 'em.
Anyway, my last accumulators for a few weeks. Decided to clean out my account because I've gotten bored of them recently so taking another break. Removed all the money apart from £6.05 which I won from Swansea tonight. Not too fussed if I don't win these which is why I've stuck £4.05 on a single selection.
Man City, Man United, Chelsea, Inter (£4.05) Winnings - £44.10
QPR, Leeds, Rotherham (£1) Winnings - £9.88
Charlton, Chesterfield, West Ham, Sevilla (£1) Winnings - £13.41

From going 1 - 0 down this looks like not a bad result, but considering we were 2 - 1 up for 74 seconds then threw our lead away theres a feeling of dissapointment :(

Great performance put in by United! Keep playing like that boys on your on course for a 4th consecutive premier league trophy. I think we should stick to the team we fielded out today, Rafael ahead of O'Shea, him and Evra played well on the flanks today. Valencia was awesome, we need to bring in a winger in January, Giggs still got magic in him but it's leaking.. :P
Replace Owen, with the magicficiant Berba.
I'm starting to feel what fletcher is bringing to the team, probably one of the best performances I've seen him play in a United shirt.
Too finish off an awesome day, we won £120 by placing a £10 bet that we will win 3-0. So it's all good. :D
CHA!NGANG
21-11-2009, 08:58 PM
Hm, well in that front 3 role we can play:
RVP, Arshavin, Eduardo, Nasri, Rosicky, Walcott, Bendtner and Vela.
That's 8 for that position which normally should be enough, however: Eduardo, Nasri and Rosicky were all injured pre-season and are still not match fit and as sharp as they should be. Vela and Walcott have just come back from injury today and RVP and Bendtner are both injured now. The only one that has been fit throughout this season has been Arshavin.
Saying that, RVP, Eduardo, Vela and Bendtner are the only out and out strikers we have and maybe we could buy Chamakh (sp.) on the cheap.
We have some good strength but a lot of injuries, I mean just look at our numbers:
GK - 3
Defenders - 10
Midfielders - 7/8
Forwards - 7/8
The 7/8 depends on where Nasri plays.
So we have 28 First team players but I'd say a few more wouldn't hurt. I've said before that if we signed:
Maybe a new GK
Hangeland (CB)
A natural LW as we have none.
Chamakh (ST)
Then we'd be ready to win some big trophies like the CL/Premiership.
At the moment we'd probably be able to win the FA Cup, Carling Cup and comfortably get in the top 4. If we made those changes in January then who knows, as long as we are within 5 points of Chelsea by then, then we could catch up. Saying that, at the moment we are 8 points behind Chelsea with a game in hand, and we play them next week. If we win next week then we are 5 points behind them with a game in hand which is a good position.

It's all good. I'm confident... we really play amazing in the second half of the season and the last game we played Chelsea, we played good and this game, Everton, where we played the best football so far this season. If we keep it up, we can do it.

You say that buy who's going? Essien, Drogba, Mikel and Kalou.
There defence isn't effected and Chelsea have proven they can play without Drogba, for example today and the CL and he will be a loss but they can cope without him. Kalou doesn't really play much for them and Mikel doesn't either yet. Essien will be the big loss to them though but they have: J. Cole, Malouda, Zirkhov, Lampard, Ballack, Deco all in midfield that can do a good job but the problem they will face is that there will be less balance to the team which is why they might buy a holding mid or loan one or just put Alex or someone from the defence in the holding role for a bit.
The ACON won't have have too much of a problem on them, trust me.

Should only cost £3-5 Mill so it's worth a punt. If not he'll be free at the end of the season. I'm sure if AW is intrested in him then he must think he'll be a decent striker to play in the PL.

Well Drogba and Essien will be a huge huge lost to the team. Two very important players for Chelsea.
Even though, they have two good players in Ballack and Deco, Essien and Frank really is the best suited partnership in midfield for Chelsea. Saying this, i don't think they will add an addition in CM as they have both Deco and Ballack to cover.
While with Drogba, I've got a strong feeling Chealski will snap up Sergio
Aureo from Athletico Madrid in Jan window. Would want him to come to United but i can't see this happening. :@

Erm.. oh look, team full of big money signings, still couldn't win. Shocking.. oh wait, no it's not. Man City can buy all they want, it won't buy them the winning mentality you get with experience of winning trophies. I think thats been shown by 5 straight draws from a winning position.
Like someone else said, it's just stupid to suggest we won't make top 4, effectively we're 2 points off top 4 right now, and it's november. I might agree with you if we had full strength teams and our results we're the same as they are now, but as you can probably tell we're nowhere near full strength. Our injury problems are not getting any better, I was seriously worried when I saw Benayoun come on this afternoon, who knows what damage could've been caused by that appearance. I seriously hope it was none, we don't need him out for any lengthy spell. If we can just get the majority of players back into fitness sometime soon, go on a spell of wins (no matter how we get them) we'll be up there as usual.
Top 6 in order by the end of the season:
Chelsea
MU
Arsenal
Liverpool
Man City
Tottenham
Unsure about the bottom 2 actually, Spurs might just get ahead of them, their squad is huge.

Chelsea, Arsenal, United, Liverpool. That's the order I think.

I know what you're saying, right now its hard to see where the goals & points are coming from but it will change when the players we rely on are fully fit. Right now we're just weathering a very bad storm, and i'm sure it'll right itself by the end of the season.
Admittedly it would help if our players would quit banging into each other and getting injured but y'know. After today though, Spurs I reckon will finish above Man City, but I sincerely hope its not above us, I just couldn't take it :(
