Children in Need?

Did anyone see that clip or video blog about that kid with the curly hair? What the hell? "Your money can keep me from getting into trouble" "Your money encourages them to stay off the street vandalising property".

I'm glad I don't give to this charity. I mean, I get the whole donate beause the children are disabled, which I would happily do, but not to this charity. I would rather give it The Great Ormond Street Hospital or a specific health benefit charity.

Not one that will give free Xbox entertainment along with snooker tables to chavs. Where did it all go wrong with this bloody charity?

Where does this money go as well? We raised 14 mill last year... still have the problem? Hm. Year before that? Goodness knows. Since the year that this started they've raised 500 mill. And we still have a problem. Astonishing. :$

One year it goes to Africa, one year to the UK so thats £250m for each.
Its not just about disabled children, its about getting thouse in vulnerable places to other places where they can be safe, sorting there parents out etc. Careers, young children who look after sick parents, day release for the children to have some fun has to be paid for, and someone to look after the kids parents why they aren't there etc.

I dont think its rite at all to call it a 'sham'.

alot of it will be used towards sponsors and the show itself.

but for giving it to chavs, theres better ways to control them than giving them free stuff. Give them true friends not those that encourage vandilism.

edit: they also have to use the money for the probaly thousands of workers who do these events or help the chairty out. and funding the clubs to.

I would rather donate to the specific disabled charity than this fund raiser. If you understand, because the 15mill they've raised tonight aint all going towards the benefit. Some of its going to costs and some of its sponsors. Some of its going to young thugs that dont need it. Frankly, I dont want to give to this when I can find the single charity myself and donate to that and know it would go to carers, research, aid and equipment.

I don't have a problem donating to charitys, I just think this one in particular is... horrid.

I'd rather donate to specific charities too. Povos already get enough through state benefits, I don't want to pay for their white lightning.

I thought it was to help them prevent children being abused by their parents.

Anyway once my parents had a second-hand furniture shop and they offered the whole of their stock to CIN but they turned their noses up at it. There was a good few grand in their to be made so can't think much of them after that I'm afraid.

im a young carer for my autistic sister, and i get taken out like every 2 weeks or such for a break from her and they do trips aswell, but this year, they cant even afford to pay out for us to go to kfc, children in need should give some to the charity cass, would benefit alot of children out there.
