View Full Version : Favourite breed of dog?
I did a brief search and couldn't see a similar thread. Not one for a while anyway - feel free to correct me though, if I am wrong!
So, what is your favourite breed of dog? Anyone who knows me at least vaguely well will know I am a massive fan of dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds. My favourites (in no particular order) are as follows:
http://dogpile.ca/dog-pictures/images/cavalier_king_charles_spaniel-1.jpg
A lot of people will know I own a Cav myself. Why do I like them? To start with I think they're immensely good looking dogs. Totally cute and totally gay (just like me). Additionally they are very loving, loyal dogs. They are a toy breed so they don't require as much work as other dogs but they retain some of the natural qualities of the Spaniel breed. They're simply amazing.

The Siberian Husky. A magnificent dog. Again, it looks stunning. They are hard work though, and need a lot of firm, consistent training.

Finally, the Rottweiler. Contrary to the bad press this breed gets, they are brilliant dogs. Hugely intelligent, very attractive and immensely loyal and friendly.

I think mine would be Border Collies and Alsations. I can't stand unintelligent dogs. In my family we've usually had mongrels though, I love finding a cute, intelligent cross with loads of character at the dog shelter (like our dog! :D).

I'm quite into dogs myself but unfortunaltey don't own one. When i'm older i plan on getting one as a pup and training it up.
My favourite breed has to be The Dogo Argentino, this is an illegal dog in the UK, although with the right people, can make great pets.

My favourite dog has to be a poodle. I've got a miniature black one.
They are one of the most intelligent breeds of dog you can get, second only to the Boarder Collie I think.

I didn't know poodles were that intelligent, cool :). I know border collies are, but I also heard normal collies are not very intelligent at all, I find that confusing because I imagined they would be fairly similar underneath.
