Elite Alterations

I never did understand why the Elite Alterations were all moved to the main site as it just destroyed the whole thing. Yet the Habbo Elites section of the forum was left there seemingly to include future elite alterations and ended up with a few pieces of work. I've just checked back and there is now just two threads in there compared to the last time I looked when there were about half a dozen.

Apart from asking what happened there, I'd like to suggest that the Elites Section be reverted back to its former glory on the forum where everybody can see them and contribute their comments. It has got to the stage where some work can be seen on the main site while others can be seen on the forum. Furthermore, those on the main site are not as organised as they would seem and often can't be viewed very well (the viewer makes them fuzzy and distorted).

This would also eliminate a problem I have noticed where alteration threads have been closed due to bumping even though they are displayed in the Elites section of the main Habbox site, (obviously if these threads were in the Elites section of the forum the bump rule would not apply).

In contrast, although I've never really paid any attention to it, the non-Habbo Elites section seems to have been left alone and currently boasts two pages worth of threads.

Does anybody else agree that they should all be in one place where everyone can view and comment on them? By default this place should be on the forum as not all forum users visit the main site and the work was originally published on the forum. Besides, it's how the Elites section always was.

I agree it should be returned. It's always an encouragement to get your work put into a special forum for everyone to see.

At present they seem to be just a place to go buff your post count.

That's because that forum only shows posts from the last month; http://www.habboxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&f=189&page=1&pp=20&sort=lastpost&order=desc&daysprune=-1 will show them all :)

I was planning to overhaul the gallery on the site when we have some more graphics designers but applications haven't been the best, but when we do get some this will be dealt with and equally the threads will be moved to the appropriate forum. I don't think the threads should be closed because of a bump though. There's been a lack of new ones in that section because of the lack of a graphics manager over the last like lot of months!

Indeed this was briefly mentioned to me not long ago. I haven't got round to looking into it yet, but we are due some more updates this coming Sunday so this week I will look into hopefully consolidating the forums and relaunching "Elites" - in the sense that is used to be quite a big part of the forum but seems to have lost it's 'sparkle', as it were. I will discuss it with Matt and infrequent who is quite involved with graphics due to the lack of graphics manager he mentioned earlier and we will see what happens ;).

Ahh, can that link be found somewhere on the forum list? About the bumps, I know elite alts shouldn't be closed but that was happening as some Habbox.com elites were not in HabboxForum.com elites. Fair enough, glad to hear it's a priority and I realise it's a fairly big task as well so good luck.

Good idea imo!
When threads are being moved we could always add a [N-H] tag to the front of them, whether it be a prefix or just changing the thread title

Nar, go to the forum, then at the bottom it says something like show threads from.. and change the dropdown
Yeah that was 'cos of lack of communication between me and the then-graphics manager if there was one at the time :P Shall all be sorted in time m'friend, but christmas is priority atm:eusa_danc
