Just out of curiosity,

I was wondering if anyone here is a rugby player, or enjoys watching rugby.

S'always nice to talk about something you enjoy and I feel like having a chat about the game xD

Yeah, I play Union for school as well. I play prop or second row for both versions.

I should hope so. :S Fed up of Leeds doing so well.

The continuous thing is a myth! Union goes thump, thump, thump. Kick, kick, kick. How boring! In League we are guaranteed a push for the line within 6 tackles. In Union, you could keep going into contact, securing the ball for 10 minutes. League's faster, more athletic. Besides, living in Yorkshire it has to be League. Those there fancy boys down south play Union.

lol.

Im not fancy
I live in Belfast :D

But thats why Union is more physical. You need to drive forward to win the ball in defence. Where as in League, you cant turn the ball over unless someone makes an error whilst handling the ball XD

I prefer watching NRL (Australian Rugby League championship) but i do enjoy playing Union.
i have lost interest in The All Blacks in the past year as they seem to be getting worse and worse. they're going to really struggle against France as usual

Hardly make matches anymore but still look out for Sale Sharks. Used to go a lot in 02/03/04 but now I have better uses for Friday nights.

Or your 6 tackles run out? League is more athletic, it's quicker paced and more intelligent. Union is stronger, more physical and a bit more methodical. For me, Union gets old quick. Both sides have their plus points. I enjoy both, but I'm not fit enough for Union (I used to get shouted at for not getting into the ruck) but I've always been the same: poor stamina, good sprint. Well, for a "larger" fella. Which means League suits me to the ground. Burst of pace, play the ball, the 6 runs out, tackle for their 6, get the turnover and sprint again. It's personal preference I guess. Union will be more popular because of the popularity of the international teams. Who really watches the English League side though? I gotta admit, even I don't.

what age you play for blues? I know a few blues players.

Not into rugby much myself. Dislike Wales rugby alot, don't mind the Blues. Super Crusaders in the rugby league though. Going to win it next year. :D
