Aww :_)
I find that with young dogs you have to like lightly push there head down and if that dont work then like dab her legs and say down but not to agressively.

I thought you kneel down to their level and play with your fingers sort of on the floor in front of her (maybe with a treat in hand) and encourage her to lie down. If she's not having it :P kind of push her down at the same time like Joe said.

Aww how cute! :D
When I trained my dog to lay down when she was a puppy, i put a treat in my hand and placed my hand on the floor, and normally she would lie down. Pretty much what Sergio said. Hope that helps :)

Aw she is really sweet! - As for teaching her to lie down pull her two front paws down so she like lies down and say 'lie down' as you are doing it. When she is lay down tell her she is a good girl. Good luck!!

push body down onto the floor with your hand and say lie down or down, or push her head down gently and say lie down, maybe have treats for a start and then without the treats.

Ahhh, tips on how to lay down.

You could try this, this is the method my Mum used with my dog, but bearing in mind he's deaf. He's still a smart-arse dog, and I love him! :D

Anyways, get a treat and get her to sit down, when she's sitting down, lower your hand to the floor but make sure she knows that you still have the treat. She might stand up and try scratching your hand, but just get her to sit down again and lower your hand again. With a little perseverance and patience, she will eventually lay down for it. Once she has mastered that, you can add a word (in my Mum's case, we added a sign). Keep practising this untill she grasps the concept of no treat untill she lays down! After that, she should be fine laying down! Good luck! :D

If you'd like any more help on this, just let me know! :D

Thanks for the rep! :D

Just reading my post again, I realised I said ''in my Mum's case'' that sentence didn't sound right, I'd like to change it to ''in my dog's case'' lol, cos' he's deaf we had to add a sign, but he still cottoned onto this and now he's mastered the trick. :D
