Sorry this is my fault, going through server optimization but erm thought I could do it secretly in the background, evidently I was very wrong.

Seems it keeps having periods where it takes forever to load something, if it does at all (Connection timed out). However, most of the time it works but those periods are quite annoying :(

Actually, I lie on the error message. Full error:

Safari can’t open the page “http://www.habboxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=56” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.

Laggings.

It died because it's defence level is 1 :(

But yeah, how much longer of 'server optimization' are we going to have to go through?

Currently we are having some server issues, it would seem that habbox has once again outgrown another server.

We have been on this box for 2 years now and it seems our hardware is a bit on the old side so we are looking for another server to kick off the new year (or maybe a little Christmas present from us to erm us).

For the moment it has been stabilised by Tom @ Uk2.net and hopefully it should hold out.

From Jins announcement.

Mhmm we have sound some new boxes that seem good and another for a bit more $$ that would blow this current one out the water in the same manner as that gamestation wrestling game advert.

Just ordered a new server, should do the job.

We were on:
2x Dual Core Intel 5050 Dempsey
4gb ram
2 x 250 gb 7500 rpm
1gig port
2 tb bandwidth (which we were going over each month)

Now going on to:
2 x Quad Core Intel Xeon 5520 Nehalem
2 x 150gb Raptor 10,000 RPM hdd
12 GB Ram
1 Gig port speed
5tb Data Transfer.

Yeah it took a good long stink eye ( o.O <- thats a stink eye in case you wondered ) for someone to realise.

"Why are you on a slow hdd with tons and tons of space, when you could be on a faster hdd with ample space"

Yet we're not on SSDs?
Also I hope that you transfer HxF over to Chromium, even though it's just a web browser :P. 7 Second boot FTW

I assume the upgrades have come out of the Charity VIP administration fees?

Not on SSD's because that isn't an option for us.

Nope, and what administration fee's :S. Habbox takes no fee's out of the charity VIP.

Mine and sierk's back pockets. It actually only costs about $40 more than what we had currently.
