I think it would be better if really old or reversed infractions were removed after a set period of time.

I only have 2 warnings, both a year and a half old, and one is reversed - so why can't they just go, they serve no purpose now! :(

I think a clearout is planned sometime in the new year :)

Don't they clear them out every year anyway? If not they should.

What I don't get is, if they've expired why are they still there? :S

It's supposed to be a "permanent record" for moderators to use when decided what action to take, should you break the rules again :)

A criminal record, so to speak ;).

I don't take expired infractions into account when dealing with a post and I believe this is the common procedure throughout moderation, I remember a while back when it was questioned though.

I can only see there being a case for deleting reversed infractions (as they're technically not the user's fault) but it doesn't really matter in any case. If you have a bad past people are likely to remember it even without the infraction record so deleting it wouldn't make a positive difference
