Blanche, from Corrie. You'll remember her.
Her death is reported have occured on the morning of the 2nd of December, after battling an illness. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

That sucks!
And she was one of the main reasons to watch Coronation Street, no-one else can pull off sarcasm like she could. How on earth are they going to write her out :(

I meant how are they going to write her out from the show, not how and if they are going to put a mention in their shows about her passing - though an "in memory of..." at the end of a completely unrelated episode clearly not in memory of her would be a bit pointless :P

i dont watch it much but my nan said she was at the train station on her last appearance. she might get knocked over or something?

Awww, I love that clip too! It's legendary :P One of her finest moments, with the other being when she was drunk when talking about the family to the couple who have turned up to see Simon.
Which reminds me, that was quite a big storyline, the conflict between the two and she was tarted up for them too :S
EDIT: If Wikipedia means anything, her last appearance is noted as the 11/12/2009, but you have to take that with a pinch of salt :P
