What a thrilling ODI series so far, im not the biggest fan but they have been remarkable. First its England dominating, next South Africa and then England.

2 - 1 up in the series so far (1 wash out) 1 to play. Can England win the ODI series before the test series or will it be a draw which frankly South Africa should be beating this team.

Final ODI on Friday

As SA are the team I support after India in any event, I hope SA win. But SA seem to rely alot on their captain which is not good at all.

Goon :(

I hope England win it, we need KP back into form though, I know he's been out for quite some time but he needs to start hitting some runs. I thought England have actually played quite well considering, well apart from the one where we got smashed ;l

1 series win after ages, big deal :)
I like how it's two South African's in your team :).

Yet you claim SA are the 'best in the world!!!' - yet you say England beating SA is '1 Series win after ages, big deal', advice, get your grammar correct. Let me guess, next you're going to say, 'You've been lucky!' yet rite, what ever.

Two South Africans? one is half English and the other has lived here for most of his life. They have an English passport, therefore are English.

You make me laugh, you ridicule England for having part South Africans in our team, then have Anti-BNP quotes in your signature.

Jealousy is not good. :(

*right - advice, get your spelling right
English is my second language so idc :) But tell me where my grammar was incorrect?

And tbh, South Africa, even though I support them, have done terrible this series (and to think of it, in their last few matches too before the series). And every team has to lose, even the best. England have done really good and I have praised them (maybe not on here but feel free to ask Tash.). Anderson and Colly have been excellent. And I myself said above that SA seem to rely heavily on their captain which is never good. So no, there is no case of jealousy as who wins doesn't affect me. Why? I support India and they are the only team I care about and they are on the verge of becoming number one in Test rankings. They are classed as one of the best ODI teams in the world (joint best with Aussies). So jealousy? Na. :).

And anyone who watches cricket properly knows "I like how it's two South African's in your team." is a joke "/ KP has lived here all his life I think. He sucks anyway. Colly is your best batsmen. Strauss is good too along with Anderson as an excellent bowler.

What a bold statement 'Peitersen is crap' - I'll treasure that, when it comes to the time where he's knocking India around the park for 6s I'll hit it back at you. ;)

And you said '1 win after ages'. Lol...

I said "1 series win" - learn to quote as there is a big difference between "1 series win" and "1 win".

And yes KP is crap when you compare him to some of your other players.

So, here goes:

You support India, but not in football where you support England, but you support South Africa after India?

Wow.

So I get flamed for not supporting England. And then get flamed for supporting England? Makes sense. I think you are the pathetic one.

Tbh, none of you have any right to tell me who to support. England suck at cricket :) end of.

Look, he supports India in the cricket because he was born there, he supports England in the footie largely because I tell him to and because he now lives here, and SA are his second cricket team because he admires how they play. It's as simple as that.

I just hope we can win the series tomorrow, brilliant confidence for test series. KP should not play until he is back in to his stride. Also Luke Wright for test squad :)

If SA want to win tomorrow, all their batsmen will need to contribute.

I really can't decide why you've posted that. I'm split between some attempt at sarcasm to prove a point to me (which i'm missing if that is the case) or you really mean what you've wrote in which case again, I don't get what your point is? :S

Oh of course you don't support Australia at cricket and Tiger Woods at golf for glory :).

Yes, supporting the country you were born in, taught the sport, lived in over half of your life is glory seeking and unpatriotic. Stop making your self look silly.

It seems to me the only person he's annoyed is you, and thats a bit pathetic if you let something so trivial anger you. I've explained and he's explained why he supports what he does, the matter really should've ended there as its none of your business.

Reports of rain possibly affecting the last ODI tomorrow. Would save England the probable embarassment of their Jekyll & Hyde performances of late seeing as they're now due a bad one. Ah well, I'd take any series win over the Proteas, however low-key the finish is.

And LOL obv. But you are just annoyed I don't support England  Jealous ofcourse :) Flaming me for not supporting England, and when I do support England in something, you call me a glory seeker. Makes sense :) Pathetic. And I like how you ignored my "learn to quote" comment.

You only support England when two of the following occurs:

It suits you
They're better than India at something

Oh, I don't support Australia. I don't support Tiger Woods. I don't support Spain. I was just doing my impression of you.

Lol you are obviously ignorant as you have obviously not read what Tash and I have said.
I was born in India and learnt about cricket there, hence I support India for it. I also admire the way SA play hence I support them. In my 10 years there, I had NEVER played or watched football EVER. Get that into you head ok?
When I moved here 10 years ago, I played and watched football FOR THE FIRST TIME. I had no idea who Manchester Utd etc were. I was taught the sport HERE and watched England play with my friends hence I support them.

I HAVE NEVER SUPPORTED ENGLAND IN CRICKET OR ANY OTHER TEAM APART FROM ENGLAND IN FOOTBALL. SO NO, I DONT SUPPORT WHICH EVER TEAM SUITS ME. IF IT DID, I WOULD SUPPORT LIKE BRAZIL OR ITALY IN FOOTBALL.

NOW DO YOU GET IT?
Gosh how hard is it to understand

And besides, I have never seen India play international football. Seriously, you and Wolves seem to love arguments and thats all you seem to do everytime. OH NOEZ YOU DONT SUPPORT ENGLAND IN CRICKET. O NOEZ U LIVE HERE AND DONT SUPPORT THEM. O NOEZ YOU SUPPORT ENGLAND IN FOOTBALL COS YOU ARE A GLORY SEEKER.
So its a loose loose situation for me LOL. Ignorant and pathetic. Grow up.

England did well and won the series. They couldn't lose anyway. I think SA have started relying too much on their captain. Their problem is that if the captain goes, the other batsmen get under pressure and fail. However if the captain is still there or does really well, the other batsmen have less pressure and do well.

England's next series: England in Bangladesh, Feb - Mar 2010

StefanWolves

England in Bangladesh never gets TV coverage, will it this year? :/

Seatherny

India vs SL, and the current Australia series (I think its that one) are getting it, so I don't see why England's wont.

StefanWolves
04-12-2009, 05:16 PM
Last England series in Bangladesh didn't get shown on Sky. Sky are only showing the Windies, Pakistan and India, because a lot of people with those countries backgrounds live in this country and view Sky Sports.

Seatherny
04-12-2009, 05:21 PM
Indeed but I think they will show it this time. They have started showing more cricket lately, so lets just hope.

StefanWolves
04-12-2009, 05:23 PM
Yeah they are pouring a huge amount of money into other Sports like cricket and rugby which is good, although I would like more football like Sky Italia gets, more boxing wouldn't go a miss either... but I suppose we can't have it all.

Wouldn't mind the BBC & ITV and ESPN picking up more cricket & rugby though, especially ITV and BBC picking up more football/boxing. I don't like how BSkyB have a sort of Monopoly in the UK when it comes to football, rugby, boxing and cricket broadcasting nowadays.

They are considering giving the Ashes abck to terrestrial channels.

StefanWolves

They're not considering, but they may be made too by the Government.
