Mine is probably a tie between Arkham Asylum and Uncharted 2.

Of the Year? Hmm, in that case, MW2, Assassins Creed 2 or Ballad of Gay Tony if you count that as a game. MW2, not all that great but meh. I brought it so whatever.

However, Ballad of Gay Tony is fantastic in nearly every way. Yet to play Assassins Creed 2 for Xmas. However, looks alot better than MW2.

as for me, im unsure. I dont think one game has really stood out for me to be honest. yeh ok, U2 had good graphics, but it hasnt come very far from the first game, the same with MW2. I actually think dirt 2 was quite good to be honest

BOGT was one of best and intense GTA experiences ever, it took everything good about IV and made it a whole lot more fun. Not GOTY mind but it does count as a DLC game (imo).

ACII, if you've yet to play, is fantastic and should rank up in this years top great games.

MW2 is basically an annoying reskin of COD4. The campaign is feckin' sweet, Spec Ops is some of the best fun I've ever had, but multiplayer is annoying and it all feels like we've seen it before.

May I also ask if you've played U2?

I don't know why everyone's complaining about MW2 I'm not trying to defend it but if you hate it so much don't whinge about it on every thread.

In my opinion it's out of MW2 - AC2 - UNCHARTED 2 I won't be surprised if MW2 gets it anyway

MW2 will, but I think it's a good game so. OK ACII is alot more unique but its just quite boring to me to go around once i've done the story, whereas I can replay mw2 alot through the story, mp and spec ops. If ACII had online capabilities then it will be a strong competitor, but it doesn't and thats why I think it won't get it.
Uncharted 2 will get ps3 goty (if there is that lolz).

Although I just bought Uncharted 2 and MW2, it would have to be Arkham Asylum for me. Before I bought the other 2 I knew exactly what type of games they would be, but with Arkham so many things seemed fresh!

Obviously it'll get GoTY but it doesn't deserve it, personally I think Borderlands should take it but then I've still yet to play AC2 which is annoying me but oh well. XD

im pretty sure if games are released after september of a year they're entered for the next year not the current one.

Didn't get point lookout for it, it looked pretty **** tbh. Mothership zeta was a majour downer but Broken steel and anchorage owned.

I think a game has to be released before a certain point of November to count for GoTY, IGN gave Fallout 3 GoTY last year so it wont be eligible this year unless the other magazines/sites do it differently.

I only say game of the year because of all the hype and unfair amount of advertising it got. If it was down to me I would say ACII just because it looks so much better, and friends have said they prefer it to MW2.

180 million people watched it around the globe, apparently, more than any of videogame award show thingy.

I guess it's pretty big, if a bit awful. I was laughing at how bad all the 'celebatiez' and performances were.
