I said back in the summer that it would peak at 100 CS by Chrustmas and look! http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=616531 :D
I know it's only one trade but it's getting there ;).

It'll hit 100.0 CS either this autumn or spring 2010 as it usually stays still in mid-winter and throughout the summer. As it gets higher it will start swinging more often, as seen by its last collapse it went down by 17.0 CS and I think this will only get bigger as it rises. Eventually though, I think it will be released and at a certain point it will have to be released, otherwise it won't be useful as a currency anymore.

And what would you suggest as an alternative currency?

I wouldnt take that trade for anything. If you notice, it's by 'Romanite', the same guy who traded with pabble for about 96 hc (buying about 4) when they were much lower. Just saying.
Personally i think it will get higher, since there are less thrones and more hcs all the time, but sometime it has to be released.

We already have one, the Club Sofa. In the past the lower end of the super market was centred around the Club Sofa and the higher end of the super market was centred around the Throne. Now it appears that the Club Sofa is the currency for the higher end and Credits have come in for the lower end.
The Throne is still used as a currency, and it still effects the price of the Dragon Egg, Golden Elephant, Bird Bath (red), Bird Bath (blue) and the Typewriter as you can see when the Throne moves, it also makes them move and they tend to follow it in price (although not always exactly).
If the Throne starts to pass these (as is happening more and more with the Bird Baths) then it'll lose its use as a currency, of course it can still be used to make high trades faster, but it is definetly losing its influence now.

At the end of the day I think even though the screenie shown romanite again.. People are still paying it. Thrones I think are over valued for the amount on the hotel, and nobody can deny that thrones are common. Okay not everyone can buy them but there's loads! I think thrones will continue rising for a while but they will fall again. The highest I expect them to go within my time left on habbo is 120.

Thrones might be common but if we go by what is common, but hc's are common. They are the most common rares on the entire hotel - if we went by what is common, they would be worth less than 1c EACH.
