Hiya,

Basically, I've noticed that other fansites make the most of being able to use Habbo staff to come onto their site. Official sites are allowed to do so if they put in the effort and organise it in advance. Sites that do use it make a big deal out of it on Habbo and really raises awareness for their site. Only official sites can say they're having the Hotel Manager coming to their site to DJ for an hour.

I think Habbox is really missing a trick here. I assume you haven't even tried to contact them with regards to this (I could be totally wrong) - I know for sure if you did try that someone would visit. I was organising Lost_Witness to come on HxL when I was AGM and he had agreed (this was like 18 or so months ago) but ---MAD--- and Radio Management never really agreed on times and dates so I just gave up.

Anyway, yeah I really think it's something you should look into. Other sites have made them sign up to the forum and answered forum questions, some prefer Q&A sessions on the radio with the staff member having half an hour by themselves to answer questions sent through to them via the request line. Obviously, it's up to you to decide these things and how you want to make use of them.

I reckon ludus would be more than happy to help out seeng as he actively uses the forum and is already signed up to catch up on what happens off the client, ha. He'd love the attention and is obviously one of the most well known members. If you were to contact him I'm sure he'd be more than willing to go on HxL (he went on HFFM) or answer questions on the forum (this is what he did on Hababble).

Apologies if you're already planning something, just a thought.

This was briefly mentioned in another thread, I think. Possibly by yourself... I don't recall. I do think this is an excellent idea, it would be excellent if a member of Habbo staff could DJ for us and during their DJing they could even advertise the Forum. It would be a massive benefit :D.

I dont mean to be rude or anything, but I think this sort of thing worked back when Habbo was good and not so... idk.. weird? >.> 2005 it was big, cuz of Lostie with NamnistaiFM (blast from the past innit). itd be nice to have them on like a forum "ask a question" thing, or like open a chatbox for people to talk to them in, but otherwise I'd rather not see that happen.

Ryan, Habbo may not be good to you but it is to others. It's far more popular now than it ever has been. Also, Garion I don't remember mentioning it nor seeing it so whoever suggested it, sorry!!

Last year when I was in the articles department I asked if it would be possible to do a monthly feature interviewing staff. It got the go ahead and I wrote up interview questions etc but it all fell apart after Lost_Witness agreed to do the interview when the questions were not emailed to them by general management. It was an awful shame and would have drummed up a lot of interest in the department aswell as the site :(

Still, if you put it into the perspective of new members and Habbos who we want to become members, it is a really big tool which Habbox simply isn't making use of. If the general Habbo community hear that the hotel manager or any other well known members of staff are going to be talking on a radio and possibly giving out furni prizes, then it's a win for Habbox Live's hits and can only have a positive effect on Habbox Forum.

I didnt mean I don't think Habbo is good, its just last time I seen it being done, it was really mediocre. >.>

Certainly more advantageous than nothing. Additionally it will appeal to the younger generation of Habbos whom we must be attracting if we are to survive.

That's the shame. If General Management actually agreed on things that would benefit the site in general and got them together quickly, things would be better. It was the same story when I tried to organise it. Admittedly, it's under a new regime so it's not personal or anything. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing this to be honest, see what Habbo staff have to say on HabboxLive. Would be something to get rolling and get him on the air! This would attract some people over to the radio and then from there they could access the other Habbox sites such as the forum. Obviously this would need planning and advertising and for Habbo UK Staff to agree. :)

Sometime last year was there not an ask the staff forum where we were going to have a member of staff coming on the forum each month and asking questions, but it only ended up happening as a one off with 0rca or something?

I agree that we should make use of the opportunity seeing as we have it. Doing something unique with it would also be a benefit its just thinking of that thing

There was something like that on the forum but I think like you said regarding the UK staff. That it died down, if I remember correctly. :(

Speaking from my own experience, for a five-six month period they completely ignored my emails. Interestingly enough I did get two emails, both when members of Habbo Staff objected to certain content that had been posted (their emails, personal info, etc.) When asked why we weren't getting replies they just said "Not my area".

Recently they've been working with fansites more (I believe) but before all the fansite owners hadn't heard anything, I think this is a fairly new development. Even then, not sure how much response Jin has gotten to his emails in :)

@Bold writing; thank god a member of staff realises what is at stake here, really, thank you. Even if other staff know it, they don't entirely admit it on the forum, at least you say it how it is.

As for the idea, great idea, it will bring in members for sure, and will only benefit the forum, there are no draw backs.

+Rep Jake for the idea. :)

Inseriousity.

Good idea! It will attract new members and then the only thing we've got to do is keep them here... it'll be like a holiday! :P

In general Sulake are suffering, they've made redundancies which have affected office staff on other hotels from what I gather. I know the email response on the UK is absolutely dire. Used to be around 2 days, it's now around 2 weeks. If Jin went to ludus directly and asked him to do something for Habbox, I'm sure he'd agree. I spoke to him the other day so if I catch him again I'll bring up the matter with him or any other staff that stop for a chat. Contact their sulake email addresses, I would post them here but last time I did they contacted nvr about me posting their private details when they're easy enough to find anyway lol.

'Tis what you get for stopping Habbox from making a profit :)

Yeah you're right a tiny site (in comparison to Habbo) not selling VIP has caused the recession! :P

Yes, the following diagram explains it in detail

The habbo player give money to habbox for VIP, but this is stopped so the habbo player's parent has more money for spas and holidays but then get's addicted and gets in debt so they can't pay loans so the banks lose money so they charge companies like habbo (Sulake) for no aparent reason. AND THAT IS THE REASON WHY PICKING ON HABBOX IS NOT GOOD.

lol, hurray for hesitation. just because you've tried before and no reply doesn't mean you can't ever try again. it'll be harder to get someone else and you don't want the same as hababble, hffm and ch have had in the past month. poor.

hah

I think Jin is really busy, but he's the one with the Sulake contact email atm. Patience :) And they only reply on the first of the month (at least that's their official position and the one they apply to us) so the earliest we will get them on the site is January, unless that too has changed :)
