I kind of agree with you but at the same time I wouldn't like them replaced with big ugly ones. At least the current ones are pretty discrete and not in your face. A replacement shouldn't be any bigger and shouldn't be any bright or bold colours as they need to be neutral to look good on all skins.

I think we are going to try and introduce new userbars, I was vaguely aware of the gfx team doing something for this but I am not sure where they got. I will chase it up, as I agree some of our userbars are a little outdated. We have to bear in mind that our userbars have to look good on all skins across the board, including the new ones we are creating :P.

You need some that match the skin. The problem with HxF is that really good skins are hard to come by and are hard to design due to the large amount of tastes among users 0 the black skin counter-acts the lighter skins, do some users posting in purple would ruin it for the dark skin users. Anyway, back to userbars... They would need to show rank, what level you are at inside the rank and so forth, which are to design unless they got rid of the 1 to 5 star system and just had Bronze > Silver > Gold etc.

Besides, the current ones are okay. Bland and a bit boring, but they're not in need of a change :)

This was brought up in the management forums like a few weeks ago and I remembered some were being created months ago but just forgot to get them finished :eusa_ange Once we've decided on a scheme that will fit all skins you may see some new ones!

I can tell you why the Admin Userbar has lumps on top of it.

All the original userbars did. Like the ranks used to be bars and each rank and one extra 'lump' on top.
