I have seen these last week. I know people don't like this but hopefully this is a very early build with many things missing obv. Hopefully they will fix the look!

That statement went out the window when they released 2009.

You'd have to be a fool to think this was either a) Real or b) going to be the final release.

True, but in general conversation you don't ask people if they are going on "wlm" tonight.

I have never met anybody who doesn't say MSN when talking about "Windows Live Messenger" in my whole life, except my grandpa... :'D

They are real, and yes it is a pre build. And I'm sure everyone loves the new 2009 WLM now...

Why are they ruining it even more, I hate WLM 9 enough and then they go and do that, uchh.

WLM 2009 is the best client they have ever made. Period.

Agreed. It's stable, unlike the MSN Messenger 8.5 days. What's so bad about 2009? I've not noticed any problems, or anything removed that was useful :/

Agreed. I have had no problems with WLM 2009 and I can't see anything bad about it either.

For the love of God why do they feel the need to "update" MSN all the time? :S How it was when I first installed it was fine. I also installed that "Messenger Plus" to get coloured names etc but the latest update (WHICH IT FORCED ME TO DOWNLOAD :@) took that away so now everyone's names look stupid on my contact list (all the codes etc because there's no colour). Also how annoying is that updates thing when you try to read emails? (I know you can turn it off).

On the plus side, it no longer forces you to read emails in IE :).

You'd think Microsoft or whoever designs the thing will at least enable a coloured name feature, that you can enable and disable (disabled hopefully recognises the codes in the name, and removes them as it sees fit).

Why do you say that?

I'd be surprised if this wasn't an early build as others have mentioned. But even so many people will be put off by it.
