The title says all. Some poetry I wrote years ago.
Midsummer
Summer meadows,
Sun bleached sweet
Berry fields,
Sun kissed secret
Dancing vegetables,
Prancing fruits
Tasteful red,
Refreshing white
Rainless rainbows
Of peach and plum
Suburban Sundays
Of shine and sun
Remarkable,
Delectable
Summer heat,
Summer sizzle
Gracious Creature
Gracious creature,
Take flight,
Go
Zoom and roar,
Loom and soar
Fly,
Fly away
Leave this place,
Escape this place
Drink from the ocean,
Have freedom
Eat from the meadow,
Have soul
Fly,
Fly away
Splash the water,
Touch the earth,
Battle the wind,
Flee the fire
Gracious creature,
Embrace life
And go
September Day
The tranquil blue sky
Ruptured with plumes of grey,
The peaceful morning gaze
Reflecting on the pain.
The two colossal towers,
Submerged to dust,
The pleasant sunshine
Distraught by tragic flame
The cool city breeze
Ripped apart by smoke,
The tantalising skyline
Littered with disaster
The world watches,
Transfixed by horror
The world mourns,
Engaged by death
The people's faces,
Burning with dismay
The people's eyes,
Indescribable
The hatred remains,
Silent echoes in the wind
The hatred born,
Unforgivable
The memory reigns,
As history it will lay
The mind shall never let grasp
Of that September Day
