There was that thread originally created about three weeks ago where it was criticised and I criticised it too. However, that thread seemed to be the kick up the backside the desk needed and although I haven't been online for a few days when I last was it had been busy for quite a number of days with 15+ in for hours on end.
It's only fair that if I'm going to criticise so openly I admit that I was wrong about management changes and that the desk seems to have turned itself around. Now I hope they can build on this and make sure it stays like it for a while. It was going through a bad patch which isn't the end of the world because after a while it was acknowledged and things got better :)

Well thats the word for it. You walk in there and you are rude to almost everyone. Including staff as you walk out from being kicked. So no wonder you get banned. Secondly. I have said nothing to you on MSN disagreeing to what i'm stating. What I said is as follows:
Me- did u get perm from hxhd.
You- yh
Me- Why
You- nothing lol
Now thats hardly disagreeing. As for me thinking its right, yes I do, for the simple reason I am Habbox staff all round & learn to behave in official Habbox rooms. As should you if you want to be allowed in. Anyway, yes, peace out.

Honestly, I don't like your attitude. I have seen many of your posts in this section over the last few weeks and it has shown to me that you cannot behave even on the forums - forget the radio or HxHD.
I think you are a classic example of the "elitism" that's been discussed lately.
Anyway its good to see the effort HxHD staff are putting in lately and have taken on board the suggestions which have been posted.

Naa they aren't.
In the first one i said why are you still going on about the rep when you said you didnt care and she said "Yeahhh, can you stay out of my convos."
In the second one she dragged it out and it went of the screen but it was "I'd rather not talk to someone who isn't, Ummm let me find the word for this"
and then "Who isnt a right.....noob"
She then went on to say she didnt call me a noob.
The other two are really just what she didnt do when a user insulted me because they where sticking up for her.

I never said that you should be in more during school time, I'm saying that people shouldn't be praising for something that should have happened regardless. Also improvements could be made, if you hired up to your staff limit then there can be a higher number of staff in during less busy hour and I never said that people should be there during SCHOOL hours, just outside school hours which was the main problem.

You need to learn (As well as DogBoy) that anyone who is managing needs to take on-board criticism and not just ignore it because it is 'negative' and I brought it up because after Christmas when the same problem arises of low activity because all the staff are busy with school work you are going to have everyone at your heels demanding answers.

It might be a point to consider, and I see where you might be coming from, but saying it only causes harm, and does no good. Concerning "B" I'm not sure what you mean, I'm assuming you want us to accept feedback. I'm all for feedback :)
Are you saying that you cannot take my criticism because I don't spend my entire life in the help desk?
No no, we've had some very good suggestions from non visitors. It's normally visitors who are offering the feedback, because, well, they're visitors so they notice things more, but if you have a great idea for HxHD don't not tell us because you've never visited the desk. In the past it may of seemed like we had an attitude along the lines of "don't visit? avoid feedback", and I was guilty of that too, but we'll try not to let that happen as much anymore. If it happens in the future on the occasion, you have permission to slap me with a reality stick:P

Because this thread is going on like forever, I was just wondering whether something ever occurred to anyone.
Perhaps the day of the Help desks has passed? I mean, most of these threads are fuelled by arguments about how new Habbos never come to the desk, it's always just the same old crowd, nobody asks for help etc etc. More and more information is being bombarded at Habbo users through the Habbo website and emails from Sulake so there is probably very little that anyone would need to ask about anyway. There are group pages relating to almost anything about Habbo, each with their own discussion forum. These sources of information are a lot more apparent to a new Habbo user than some random room in the hotel.
I guess what I mean is, these days there are numerous, much easier ways to obtain information than walking into a room, where there may or may not be people to help, and asking a question or trying to explain a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but more often than not, Habbos who ask for help are directed to various pages of the Habbo website anyway.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm not just trying to belittle a whole department of Habbox, one of the longest standing foundations of Habbox in fact, I'm just saying with all this talk of change and moving on, maybe it's something that should be given at least some thought? At least the Feedback forum would have one or two less threads complaining about the desk every week :P. Even on the rare occasion when a thread is created to praise the desk, it quite often ends up turning into some argument or other (like this one for instance!).
On the other hand, aborting such a long-running, fundamental aspect of Habbox could just be viewed as a huge sign of submission in what seems to be an ever diminishing bond between Habbo and its fansites. This could even make it practically non-existent, as far as Habbox is concerned anyway. Of course, I doubt such an attitude would ever be considered though, nor am I suggesting it should.

Which was the whole point of designing HxHD like a lounge; there was the 9 square staff area and staff were encouraged to sit out with the visitors. It was used more as a function room for everything - HxL parties, quizes, even announcements. I daresay it didn't work too badly - apart from Sammeth's layouts of course :P
However, all that seems to have changed with the bigger staff area yet again, and staff have been encouraged to sit behind the desk and not look away from the screen.
Previously it was called a help desk yet it was geared more towards a lounge. Rules were slackened and even staff were given more freedom. Wasn't this better? Yet now, it's called a help desk and it is being treated like a help desk and as we are all aware, sadly they aren't needed that much anymore. As Robald said, the answers are directing people to Habbo pages. My view is to make it back into a Habbox Lounge under the HxHD name. Still offer help, but treat it like a lounge; and that is why HFFM have theirs full daily.

Yeah, don't the other fansites just have something like 'Club Habbo Council' for example, which is all that stuff rolled into one like you're saying? I think theirs also encourages the public to get involved with the meetings or activities (I don't really know anything about it, I just remember seeing it mentioned on their site once).

We'e had tons of people coming in for help recently and our staff are able to answer.
And I think moving into a lounge may be a bad idea as we're like the only help desk on habbo and it'd be a real shame to see helpdesks fade out. HxHD offers something other fansites dont and its great

There is a difference between Habbox Forum's userbase and Habbox's Habbo userbase.
A large percentage of our forum userbase do not use habbo :)

It's still representative of how many people are on habbo...
It's Christmas eve.
Family time.
Habbo(x) will be quiet over the next few days :)
Stop being pedantic.

00chips I saw you in there today, in the door. I'm not sure exactly why you took it upon yourself to try and turn a positive thread into a negative one when I know for a fact you're not a regular user of the desk. I'm in there daily and don't recall seeing you in there before today so I don't think you're the one who should be making such critical judgements. I made this thread only a few days after most people broke up and it was due to an improvement in the last few days - when people were still at school/college.
In fact, since the holidays it's taken a little hit because people are busy. Every day in the holiday though so far I've witnessed it having 18+ people which is great it's just not maintaining it for lengthy periods which is fine seeing as the festive period is renowned for spending time with family and friends which far outweigh doing a voluntary job.
