View Full Version : is 500mb mobile browsing a lot?

see title for details - but basically will i get a lot out of 500mb?

Yeah I imagine so. If you're only browsing the web it'd be very difficult to wrack up 500MB.

Be careful with the video content though, each YouTube video uses up around 5MBs and iPlayer uses something like 100MB on a 1 Hour TV Programme.

Well, I've used my internet dongle for 3 whole weeks if I add it up (it came with 1Gb), filled with use of MSN, Facebook (not mobile facebook either), twitter, and several forums, and used about 175Mb roughly

I dunno if that helps you.

I use around 400mb a month on my mobile phone when I'm just casual browsing, occasional msn and several youtube videos. Sometimes I stream last.fm, and that takes up maybe 10mb an hour.

Ah cheers for the advice, I think 500mb should get me through the month.

Well how much is 125MB?
Vodafone customers have free usage up to 125MB internet from Xmas (Now) to New Years Day.. HELP :) I over do it, I lose = I pay :(

If you lay off the audio/video content and don't look at an excessive number of Facebook photos it should be more than enough.
