Trying to get the best dps on my DK

I currently have a lvl 80 blood elf DK and was wondering how I should have my talents and what spells to use in what order.

Good for gear, don't really use it for anything else since I've got my build and glyphs set up for decent DPS anyway but it has stuff to do with talents, gems, potions, enchants and I think glyphs.

Don't bother with maxdps, like really, don't.

Tbh theres a multitude of information available to you, like www.elitistjerks.com, www.mmo-champion.com and even RAWR.

Maybe even theorycraft?

You could even armory Fenrir (Someone on this forums DK) seeing as every SS he posts shows he has 1337 DPZ.

First of all, your gear is all over the place to reach decent DPS.
Lose the tanking pieces, as people will just votekick you in Heroics if they see you running around trying to DPS with tank stuff on. Spend some emblems on the Sigil of Virulance, and start saving for T9 pieces, and replace that cloak, it's ollllllld.

Here's the Elitist Jerks Blood DPS thread, although even after you replace some stuff I still reckon you should go Unholy.

If you get the chance, try and grind Pit of Saron heroic for the Tyrannical Beheader; http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50267 As it's much better than the Titansteel Destroyer at this point.

Maxdps is a good site, there is no reason not to use it, it shows all the best DPS gear for all the classes and updates to PTRs so it's up to date, though I'm not really sure if it's any good for anything other than gear.

It shows the best DPS gear according to a set of stats. Whereas if you use RAWR, the best gear for you is calculated according to your stats.

Maxdps should be used as a rough guide not religiously.

I used to always use Unholy but I moved to Blood while I was lvling. I've only just turned lvl 80 (Sunday) so I'm still doing PvP for Deadly Gladiator armour.

What Unholy talent tree and spell rotation would you recommend?

What do you want to do? Raiding? Player vs player? Both?

If you want to do raiding more, then do random heroics instead of gathering pvp gear.

Both but I'm picking up PvP gear first because it is a huge improvement to what I had before lvl 80.

I've redone my talents and got some more gear. Yet to get better gear to go into that instance for the axe.

I got the Axe and some good PvP gear (from honor and emblems) which made eligible for most of the heroics now. One problem is that my hit rating is at 194 and I can only do a dps of 1.5k MAX. whereas I've seen some DKs do 2.5k+ dps.

Pvp gear is **** for heroics.

And if you got 1.5k then your rotation is obviously messed up.

Your gear has tanking pieces in them (dodge, block(??!!!!), defense), a spell power trinket and full deadly gear so theres no question why your DPS is at 1.5k.

Keep working on heroics for Triumph badges to upgrade to t9conq and other offset pieces.

Also have a look at this thread ( http://www.mmo-champion.com/class-death-knight/death-knight-guideqa-(pve-dpstanking-and-pvp)/ ) which was a pretty easy find when I looked at this thread. Look at the PvE bit at the top and follow the advice inside, it'll help with rotations, enchants etc.

I havent finished getting the gear yet I still hav **** from lvl 60.
