There all the same, anything that says its different is just branded to appeal to men, but still the same.
Why do you actually want it?

Ignore people who don't think men should be able to wear makeup. It makes everyone look so much better if applied correctly.
The key for men is to make sure your makeup looks 'natural' , unless you're into looking like a drag queen. You should probably start off by purchasing some concealer, foundation & eyeliner. Blusher can make it obvious that you are wearing makeup but if you don't mind then go ahead and buy some of that aswell, it's great for adding colour and bringing out cheekbones.
Personally I don't really buy men's makeup as I think it's just the same as women's. I'd recommend that you check out the different makeup counters at stores such as boots or selfridges, the majority of men who work at selfridges seem to wear makeup anyway ;) Speak with some of the consultants and make sure you choose the correct shades of makeup for your skintone, you don't want to look orange seriously. You'll also want to make sure the brands you are buying are reputable and will not clog your pores as this will only cause your skin to be in a bad condition and can make makeup look uneven. I'd also avoid cheap makeup as they tend to clog your pores and lead to blackheads.
Search online for some tutorials or get your friends/family to show you how to apply makeup so that you don't look like some chavvy girl. Hope I helped :D

Men don't wear make up, simple as, unless you're some kind of goth, which, by your username, sounds like you may well be. Male youth seems to be becoming more feminine by the day.

And you're a film maker? Actors wear makeup all the time...

Stop trying to act like you're older and better than everyone else, you're only what 18? you're still young; and so what if he wants to wear makeup actors do it do it all the time and so do people who are concerned about their looks.

Actors wear make up because it's part of the job and not their own personal choice. Comparing an actor to a male who wants to cover themselves up in eyeliner and lipstick is rather silly.
And no, I'm older, thanks.

How is it silly to compare the two? Normal people have imperfections that they'd like to cover up aswell.

The OP was actually asking for advice on make-up and it's not really a debate about the virtues or non virtues of wearing it:P Personally I wouldn't spend much at all to start with just go with something cheap to see what suits you.
