As the title asks, I need to know places to freely advertise my new website that will be launched in early 2010. Maybe names of websites, large forums or wherever you think I could advertise. Thanks!
Take a look at namepros, forums.digitalpoint.com ermm, Sitepoint? They're the big industry forums :P

If you don't mind putting ads on your site, you can join www.ProjectWonderful.com and show ads on your pages until you have a bit of credit with them, then use them to put your own ads on other sites.

What sort of website do you have? I might be able to suggest some things that are targeted to that theme.

Here is what we're aiming at:
Give advice on how to gain YouTube channel and video popularity.
Comment on the subject of making money from your own YouTube videos.
Assist with getting your YouTube video to look professional.
As well as more content including downloadable guides, a newsletter and so much more! Extra premium content and services may also be available for a small monthly fee which could include 1 to 1 YouTube mentoring, premium guides and a premium section on the tips and tricks of YouTube video and channel ownership.

Ok, Judging on your theme i'd look for advertisments on video sites video sharing sites. If you can try and get an ad on other peoples youtube accounts. Video sites and youtube fansites or anything to do with video and video sharing would be good. Just don't spend you time advertising on Asda's website, because people who go on asda's website don't want to hear about youtube they want to hear about grocerys and anything shopping wise :).
I hope this helped,
Callum.

Of course. I have worked with various YouTube channels to gain them popularity, subscribers and teaching the owner(s) of the channel(s) methods.
It's just that now that I am launching this site, I didn't know how to advertise the site. But now I have some good ideas.
