Arsenal's Freddie Ljungberg has signed an extension to his contract, which will keep him at the club until 2009.
Ljungberg has scored 68 goals in 265 matches since he joined Arsenal from Halmstads for £3m in September 1998.
Ljungberg was the Gunners' outstanding player during the winter months last season but his campaign was hampered by injury and migraines.
Boss Arsene Wenger was keen to keep the Swede after seeing captain Patrick Vieira leave for Juventus earlier this month.
