Today, I bought some deodrant and it was, quite nice smelling, FCUK, and it was only like £3, but I don't think I'd buy expensive deodrant, when it gives the same effect. And plus I don't really use deodrant for day-2-day life, only when I'm goin out. From all the times I've bought expensive stuff, it's been OK, not brilliant as I expect it to be for the price, would you buy expensive deodrant?

I don't use deodorants because I smell good anyway and don't need a Mexican shower

Nope, I just buy it if it's at a good price, with a known brand and it smells good. But occasionally I do splash out if I really like the smell :D

£20!? OMG the most expensive I've ever bought was like £9.99 a can, and it was really nice, but I wouldn't buy it for everyday use.

Deodrant is not worth £20, but I suppose people pay that, like my dad paid, £30 for some deodrant that can't be smelt

Depends on the occasion I guess,
I have bought expensive stuff in the past, for like important events- but I havn't always been impressed with it.
I have also bought some from poundland, wasn't too bad actually! :D

I get Lynx (about £2 a can) and some Next Aftershave (£7 a bottle, 50ml) but when I was in Boots there is 50ml perfume for £60...

£24 100ml, that's not that bad, my BOSS stuff costs £30 50ml and the DG is £39 50ml

I use what smells nice, and not too overpowering. Sort of a neutral smell. I hate that I used to use spray on 'vanilla' scented deodorant. Ugh. I now use a roll on that smells like not much. :D Sort of vaguely floral.
If you're spraying on a lot when you go out- people can tell if you smell like cheap deodorant, and it'll be one of those 'ugh, teenagers and their deodorant!' moments. I can't smell most guy's deodorant now, without thinking of school P.E. lessons. Its not a good memory or connection. So, if you're like those guys who spray it on the outside of their clothes, don't go with the cheap stuff.

Lynx smells like crap, its cheap and nasty! If you're gonna get cheap, get nice or ok smelling.
nahh a lot of lynx is nice man. i couldn't get expensive deodrant cos i used a lot of it, i have a phobia of smelling nasty.

It depends wheather I have deodrant in, say like if I don't have any in apart from expensive, then I'd probably wear no deodrant, doesn't bother me cos I don't sweat much.

Lynx isn't cheap and nasty. It's not cheap and it's not expensive.

I think it's cheap, it smells like they've just rushed it together and said "It'll have to do."
Well it's down to taste I guess... and I find some of the fragrances tend to stick more. Like if I buy Lynx chocolate, I find it's still on me even the next day, while other times I used Lynx the smell fades away real quick.

Not really, Twist deodorant and Recover shower gel smells nice, and I would only use the nice ones.

ah what i do is use an anti-perspirant that is a cheap on and then add deodrant on top of that for day to day use. I use to overpower the smell but now as long as i dont smell of body odour its A ok :)
for nights out i use some more expensive stuff depending where im going :)
Gibs960
03-01-2010, 08:54 PM
And thats another thing, its either choke cos its too powerful or smell of bo, so you have to get it just right, I try and put the body wash on, then put the anti-perspirant stick on, then put the spray on, it actually smells nice, cos I've got all the the same fregrance

He only wears deodrant on nights out..
He changed his mind and wears it everyday in the space of one day..
He doesn't but expensive stuff, as its not worth it.
I would love to hear a straight story.

*REMOVED*
Now: personally I wear a cheapish antiperspirant stick (unscented) and then a Hugo Boss (£30 50ml) day to day with D and G (£45 50ml) when going out, as it smells nicer IMO - the main point, that everyone has their own opinion.

usually one of lynx/right guard etc is on £1 rollback in asda, so i just buy whichever is on offer when i run out (as long as it smells alright).

I normally go for Lynx but I love Lacoste Red and I get expensive deodrants when I can afford them.

Again you have already said that. And again I doubt he/she cares if it is cheap, afterall they do not expect 11/12 years olds to buy top of the range stuff :S
