There are a lot of threads about merging all these forums together. But then we get the problem that arose a few weeks/months ago where we have too many stickied threads...

Does this mean that we are going to remove some of the stickied threads or...?

I think the forum management just like sticking threads for the fun of it, there are 4 threads stuck in edc. about learning a language.... dont think they really need to be stuck and im sure there are loads more

And i thought it was against the language to write in another language.. Hmm!

They are for educational purposes. Once forums a merged, Management & Moderation department will work together throughout the forums looking for any threads that need to be unstuck. :)

I don't see a problem with stuck threads if i'm honest.

Maybe some of the ones that don't particularly get used should get stuck but not the rest.

The clutter up the forum and move active threads to the 2nd page (well that's the theory if we had an active forum).

Not all stuck threads are bad, some are quite useful. Although when you merge forums you get a double amount of stuff. xD

Maybe we should have one stuck thread in each forum containing links to all the threads that are stuck now, then unstick all the threads. Same thing but takes up less space xx

there is a "im a celeb" thread still stuck in Tv, if your mods payed attention they would have seen it and removed it as it finneshed last year

Well if users were more helpful and reported stuck threads, then we wouldn't have this problem. But its an easy mistake to just "by-pass" it. But I have just gone in that section and unstuck three threads. :)

Once the forums have been changed/merged, which shouldn't be that long away, a stuck thread overhaul will take place. If anyone does find some that need to be removed, then either report it or let one of the Super Moderators, Myself or Garion know.

Then I apologize on behalf of them if that is correct. :)

The only post report within the "I'm a Celebrity" thread was by Graham, (drakee) asking for it to be stuck.

Obviously we don't keep records if it was said on MSN, howeve natually things are more likely to be done if things are reported properly.

There are nothing wrong with stuck threads, but when we do combine all these forums together there will be maybe 4-5 stuck threads, and if you have ever used the mobile skin or a low res monitor then you will see its a pain having to scroll down so far just to view the most recent thread.

True, some are useful ;)

I see the problem now, sorry for being slow:D

As Matt has said, when the merge happens (which I think is soon) the moderation department will clean up the stickied threads :)

Oh sweet.

I just saw heaps of threads saying merge merge merge, and remembered about this problem that came up and nobody really thought about it
