Sounds good to me, provided you can find people that can be bothered (that was always the problem with the articles department, people lost enthusiasm very quickly and its hard to get new staff to do it!). Make sure it's well promoted and stuff, just leaving it as a link under the navigator is basically asking for it to be ignored. Its a new feature, needs fanfare and banners and all kinds of fun stuff :)

Thanks. :D

Yes, I have had a lovely banner made by the graphics department, and we hopefully have a special rotating banner being made for the front page of the site. I am planning on getting it advertised as much as I can over the coming week, and have a team of dedicated reporters who are briefed and ready to go! :D

As you mentioned, advertising will be key as to whether this works. My team are ready for the challenge, and we hope that people will get sending their rooms in! :P

Ayayay! Don't rely on that alone, go out and do some field work and find some bling ones, if you sit waiting for people to reply for 2 weeks and no-one sends you anything and nothing is posted for a fortnight all interest in it promptly vanishes. Get stuffs out quickly!

Yes, I'm pretty sure this was tried before under the old "Articles Department."

Whilst we are not the articles department, (there isn't one) we are hoping to slowly re-introduce some content such as this to provide more interesting content for our members and guests to read. Using Habbo related content is great for luring in new members, and is also good publicity. Hopefully with the right advertising this can be successful.

Lol "tried" :P It was one of the best things about habbox for years! There was the rare values, news, room reviews and the occasional interesting interview, the rest was crap :P

no offence but the banner is crap :P sorry

You should try and contact staff on Habbo for an interview, even if its just using the help tool and sending in questions. Im sure they would answer

A perminant banner on the rotator would be a better idea. Other fansites have lots of images on rotators which advertise many things, Habbox normally on uses two or three at a time. We should be making more of the rotator because something like this will just fail, like in time the articles department did. (no offence alex babes, you were a sexy manager)

I think it's a nice idea. I'm sure I remember doing a few for Habbox and people used to speak to me about them on Habbo and ask me to do their rooms. Hope it goes well and they become popular once again :)

Or mine -coughs-

Yeah it's a good idea but as Alex has already said, you'll need to start off reviewing rooms you find first and hopefully build interest from there (with good room reviews, obviously!).

Have already had one room sent to me so far, and we will most likely be starting off with some familiar Habbox related rooms to get the system started up and the templates tested etc. :D

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I like it, seems good.

Just a thought, you could make it a rule, to submit a room they must put "www.habbox.com" in the room description. Small things like this promote Habbox a little bit, and could help increase the members a little bit. Don't think there's anything to lose by doing it, just gains to be had :P
