Can you guys recommend the best USB sound card under £50? Needs to be able to plug into a 3.5mm jack on my stereo, and have a high quality sound using my speakers. ( http://www.sony.co.uk/product/hmi-ipod-hifi-and-portable-systems/mhc-ec79i#pageType=TechnicalSpecs if you want to look at it)

Has to be USB, the NC10 I'm looking at buying only has USB, no ExpressCard slot.

I have on occasion used http://www.ebuyer.com/product/106540 and recomended to others who have a hard time complaining about it. Delivers high quality sound, works with XP/Vista/Windows 7. Capable of 7.1 surround sound and 2 separate microphone inputs.

looks interesting, will it sound better than the on-board sound on an NC10?

I was looking at http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150545 and http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141351

It doesn't have to support 7.1 sound, as it'll be used on 2 speakers only (link to the sound system on first post).

For £14 I wouldn't bet on high quality

Marky21, those are more like it!

But which of the two sound cards will give me better sound quality?

I'm not sure, you're best bet is Googling around for some reviews

I'm going to go with the X-Fi Go.
