Snow Day

I got a snow day to day. Did anyone else get one? and aprently i have around 15 inches of snow to come :):eusa_danc

My school was closed yesterday, and closed again today. Yaaay :)

Yeah, it's crazy here, I've never seen it like this. Every road shut, shops shut, no roads are safe, only here to Edinburgh and they're choosing who can go on it. But on GMTV there's a reporter standing at the road on about snow somewhere in England, where you can actually see road. :rolleyes:

Yeah its kinda the same here, really deep snow, local airports closed ,no car traveling to work, crazy really.

Yeah, we have quite a bit of it here, no one where I live has risked going out due to the snow reaching half way up their wheels. I imagine every school I know of in my county is closed. It is still snowing quite heavy here though.

My car is stuck in a foot of snow and all of the trains and buses are cancelled here -_- I hate snow disrupts everything

My old school is closed so my brother's off (I have Wednesday's off uni anyway). First time I've heard of a snow day at any school I've been to though!

The snow is still here and the roads aren't ideal so my local council advised all the schools and so on to close today. Even though its my day off, I would of been off college anyway. :(

They said they will let us know at around 4:30pm if there gonna be open tomorrow. xD

lol i've never driven in snow my car is out there with the kids getting all the snow off, vultures ;l but my dad said i'm not allowed to drive, he told my sister not to drive too and she's 20 lol. i went out with him to get some wood and he was sliding, twas fun

Last night I went over to a parked car to take some snow off it and I heard my mates say there's someone in it so I kind of disguised it by pretending to slip slightly and using it as support... dunno why just seemed bad to just walk up to someone's car and take snow when they're in it lol :P. He got out as we walked away to examine his car as well haha.

i've never seen one and they'd be a bit of a waste of money considering we only get this sort of weather two or three times a decade max.

they don't around here, hence the no school. they grit main roads which stops (some of) the snow. i think, lol.

we're all clear now til sunday when we're expecting "a country wide snow event" again. bits of the east will get flurries which may push into london and the midlands. you heard it hear first!

if it stays this cold (-4 atm) the snow will still be here come sunday lol

well where i live unless you or your parents can drive the only way to get in is by coaches supplied by the council. the council have stopped all transport for tomorrow so basically even though i could physically get in, it's not really safe to drive. even if college is on, i'm not there :D
