Hey

I'm going to start developing an Internet browser, I'm prepared for all the flamers so before you post, think twice.

I'm looking for a name to start with, as Ill be looking to attract young people who only visit a small amount of websites. (Such as habbo, fansites, forums)

I'm looking for ideas too, on what to add. This will be version one so it will be pretty basic but Id still love to add some awesome features.

An idea I have thought of is to make it Habbo based, a Habbo browser. Which means once opened it will go straight to habbo.co.uk (or chosen language on installation) and have an option to view all the current official fansites and top forums etc.

Its an idea i'd like to achieve but I dont think many Habbo users would use it as they'd feel for their security.

Send me some ideas and what you think a browser MUST have.. If you want to help develop then just PM or post.

Thanks.

It must use a better html rendering engine than simply being a face for the engine behind Internet Explorer.

Are you making a web browser or just a tacky skin slapped on top. Also, webkit ftw.

So basically your using a engine and just pointing it to different websites in vb?

If it's from scratch: I'm interested.
If it's using vb or C pre-made (practically): No thanks.

It wouldn't work if it was dragged in as they'd have no function :$

Good luck dude. How about "Habrowser" or "Habbrowser" simple and cheesy but serves the purpose you need.

I don't like the idea of a habbo browser sorry :( For the buttons I think you should just have a solid colour rather than an actual imagine but thats just my opinion.

Best of luck with it,
Richard.

Small icons, sleek style. Not big, bulky pixel icons and all sorts of components floating about everywhere.

Yeh. Gives you the option to make a browser how you want it. Just thought I'd contribute something different to the community :)

Jahova

Well, you could have told us before. You got us excited but it turns out that anyone can do this. I've done it before and I'm sure most kiddies that have become interested in vB have too.

A browser just for habbo.. Hmm, may I be the first to say, what's the point?

I don't open the internet just to get on habbo based stuff, why would I want to use a habbo only browser, when I can simply go on IE/MF/Safari/GC etc etc, and open numerous tabs?

Please insight me on the idea :)

iDenning

There used to be a program called "habbox" that browsed habbo sites ;)

p.s, I don't think it was related to this habbox
