people R friendly, they say mornin 2 u!
girls r gorge (2nd sexiest city in uk, sexeter<3)
pubs and clubs r good
student nightlife there so its immense
places to have picnics r really good
its a small city so u get everywhere rly rly rly fast

I love Norwich because I think in terms of largeish cities it's one of the nicest places to be. There are rougher areas but there's no where you feel particularly afraid of going.

It's also large enough to have all the facilities you want, multiple shopping centres, cinemas while staying small enough to mean everything is within walking distance/ biking distance.

That and it happens to be in Norfolk, which is flat which is even better for lazy people like me ;)

the only thing i can think of for leicester is that my friends and family live here. besides that, i'll be scrapping the bottom of the barrel for something lol.

Bicester?

-Bicester Village, some nice shops... too many Chinese/Japanese/Milasian tourists though.
-Covered in snow at the moment
-We have too many fast food places
-Overrun by chav scum
-House prices are scandolous for such a bad area

Thats what I find great.

Nothing. Wolverhampton is awful. In fact, it was rated the 5th worst city in the world.

I don't actually live IN Wolvo, but near it.

Yeah, but that's in Wednesfield which isn't actually Wolverhampton, so that's probably why. :P (You should see it at night though, I was at that Cineworld last night, and there were dodgy people EVERYWHERE).

And yeah, sounds good. :8

Luton. It was voted Britain's worst town (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3692154.stm) in 2004. I think it also won some greyest city in Britain award a while back. It's so dark and dingy, full of drunks and rotten people and is just all around crap. The airport comes in handy sometimes but thats about it. Half of the people that live here aren't even English either and want nothing to do with you. I'm so glad I live on the outskirts. Getting out of this place as soon as I can.

Isnt quite a city but its a large town. The only good thing about Luton is its football club. Apart from that its awful and a complete dive.

Do I even need to explain what's great about Liverpool? Everyone's going to start posting the stereotypes now but they're wrong, people are much friendlier than you think. There's the shops (L1), night-life, in fact Liverpool's history is probably the most amazing thing about it.

In all honesty when people say their city is 'diverse' they don't really find it great that its diverse, they just say that to be PC. On Liverpool I love its history as the centre of the British Empire and its amazing Imperial buildings.

hmm is kind of hard to say what the best thing about bristol is and seeing theres are a few other members of the forum from Bristol is gonna vary from person to person.

Bristol is quite a historical city via slave trade and port, we were also the City of Isambard kingdom Brunel which Bristol is quite proud of we also have the biggest Primark in the UK (not proud something to be proud of).

Bristol is prob the best City in the South west by a long shot pub and club wise however im sure people from Plymouth and Newquay will argue against that.

Theres also bath about 6 miles from Bristol which was the place where the first ever king of England was crowned and also one of the places the Romans built up with the Spas.

the only let downs in Bristol are the standard of the Sporting teams rugby and football.

Diversity in a city can take many forms in a city. From its music scene, architecture (sp), shopping districts, food, people and art. I don't see why the word 'PC' or 'finding it great' has anything to do with it.

Indeed it can, but I think we all know what it means because we have heard so many times in the news, from our councils 'people from all sorts of diverse backgrounds' - the PC brigade hijacked that word and thats what it commonly is used for nowadays. The stuff you mentioned would normally come under culture/entertainment.

Neither do I, but I don't feel the need to tell everyone as though its the best thing thats ever happened to the city just so I can appear to be politically correct.
