good on them!

it says they weren't there long, i'd rather they were getting involved with the community rather than sitting in their van drinking coffee and eating mcdonalds.

Awww, excellent :D They'd obviously get told off by their superintendent, but that's just there to look good really. It's nice to see they were having fun, and not like it was on tax payers' expense, seeing as that would just be nit picking :P

Agreed with Joe, the country does need to lighten up. But getting told off whilst on duty. What did they expect? :P

I think it's rather funny to be honest. Although many people have complained about all the professionalism la la!

LOL MINT! Good on them for having a laugh but people get touchy when it comes to the police... Shame too, haha!

Haha, heard about this.

Bloody boring police saying they shouldn't of done it, saying it was a waste of taxpayers money or some rubbish. My mum is a taxpayer and she thought it was hilarious.

Whilst I agree with most of you, they are on duty and really shouldn't be doing this. Off duty, yes but how would you like it if someone had just robbed your house and they were late because one of the was halfway down a hill?

What if is always going to be a factor for anything. They did it, it's done and although people disapprove it was only for a few minutes as stated and could have made little difference for wherever they could have been. If they were needed for a call or on one they wouldn't have been there.

If you're carrying round a perfect sledging object, I don't know how you could possibly not do this :D.

Nothing wrong with having a bit of fun, it's not like they did that "all" day. :)

I saw some police on dodgems at goose fair once, it's good and funny to see them doing stuff like this.
