Habblog.co.uk - Version 2 - asking for comments :)

Hi all,

After reading the comments on the previous attempt to resurrect Habblog, I decided to change the site design completely. I attempted to find someone to help with designing but ended up doing it myself.

I've put the design up to ask for comments only, nothing is working so please do not tell me this....I KNOW.

Let me know what you think, If its liked by enough I will continue work, if not then I think Habblog is going in the bin :).

As for the logo can you define what you mean? I.E whats wrong?

Right child, the layouts in your thread are awful. I wasn't asking for a free design....I would have paid, but your attempt to be smart and post an effective reply failed. As for the logo if you look very very close you will see its actually text, and not a logo as the layout was designed with this in mind. The banner is not in boxes its an effect called mirrored glass and its quite a nice effect.
As for the unofficial badge thats just plain stupid of you to say that, it says that because its an unofficial fansite......next time try to help rather than try to bend your self over to look as though you know what you are talking about, as you do in most of your posts.

Thirdly, I know there is text on the logo.

Fourth, Mirrored glass is just horrid. No one wants to see that.

Finally, The Unofficial Hotel Badge is mainly used for retros only, (Which I do not condone).

And last of all, it says asking for comments, and I gave me opinion. You can ask anyone on this forum, or anyone else's tbh. And they will pick that the site is ****, and you can not code because all the parts of the layout are in pictures and not divs.

EDIT: Plus, you have 4 Members on the site as a forum, which shouldn't be called a forum. And the 2 of those 4 people are you and a beta tester, And I don't think your own brother on the staff list has joined himself.

EDIT2: Also, if you where to pick a site layout which would you rather pick.

You really need to tone down. You're way out of line. I know for a fact that you wouldn't be very happy if someone gave you the feedback you gave him. Nor, can you comment on his design either as almost all of yours are the same. Think before you post next time :rolleyes: & the fact of him using the badge that says habbo hotel or whatever, seriously :| LOADS of fansites have used that and it doesn't mean retro, you're assuming it does because people have used it on their retros, don't start "cussing" his staffing either, you're in no place to talk. :rolleyes: how old are you? 8? "MY LAYOUTS BETTA DAN URS HEHEHEHE SNORT" ... no. if you want somewhere to do that go to a pokemon forum.

Anyway, putting the obnoxious aside, the concept is good, the layout is OK and has potential, btw, it's a Habbo UK fansite, not an ;)

The mosaic effect on the banner doesn't really do it justice, try not to use photoshop filters.

Overall, it has potential and good luck ;)

Ok, Myke is a good role model. And Im sorry. As it where the site its self, needs more shading and have the sub-nav fixed. thats basically it, also. try not use table borders on the members page :).

Im the user Mike on the habblog thing. (no Myke is not Mike, Mike (me) is Mike) and I dont really like it, sorry. It has potential but I dont like it at it's current stage, although saying that, it is quite a feat for someone like you to be able to put together such as user system and overall site. GL

First off thanks for saying sorry :). As for the content I.e members page its still in the design state fitting in with the last layout, that's why i said I just want the layout judging, which was done with some bad chosen words :p that aside I think I will continue and attempt to improve. Also can I ask what you mean when stating "someone like yourself"? It seems as though you think of me as being new at this, quite the contrary my design skill are not of a high standard which had been noted, but my coding skills are backed with a 3 year college degree, with about 2 Years working in web programming for Chubb security. Your comment could only apply to my designing.
