Eminem - Before Encore

I have always been an eminem fan, my first album was encore, and i've started listening to him more lately. Then i realised i don't like a single song on Relapse. Do you think eminem was better before Encore. Infinite, his first album was decent, then Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show ruled. And Encore still had a few good songs, but hinted that his music was changing very quickly. My fav songs are Sing for the moment, Stan, Lose yourself, Kill you, Toy Soliders, Cleanin out my closet, The kids, proper old school stuff like that.

Anyways, do you prefer Eminems old albums, pre Encore, or Relapse?

I think he was better pre encore but still enjoy some of his relapes songs....lisen to becarfull what you wish for its from the refill album its like the old eminem.

i'm an eminem geek, i love all his songs. seriously, i haven't listened to a single song of his i don't like.

Not really an Eminem fan, fantastic flow and delivery but just doesn't sit well with me for some reason compared to other rappers. I'd never deny that he's among the most talented out there, but nonetheless I'd definitely choose one of his older albums over Relapse, which to me is the same old topics that no-one cares about any more with not such fantastic beats. It seems to me that during his break from music he simply avoided the media and music and just thought everyone was still interested in the same stuff as before he quit.

I only have MMLP and Eminem Show, so can't comment on Encore as strongly, but certainly from how much I disliked Relapse I'm sure it's a superior album.

These songs i think still had enough of the old style eminem but started to change to the modern **** i don't like nowadays.

i listened to relapse a bunch cause my ex was a big eminem fan, but the only song i thought was any good was underground.

yeah pre-encore is definitely better than his newer stuff. i used to listen to the mmlp when it first came out, cause thats what everyone listened to and i was like 12 lol. but ive never been the biggest em fan.

Eminem is the only rapper I listen to. I agree with you, I think his old songs are better than the ones on Relapse.

The only song I listen to from Relapse is Beautiful. It kind of reminds me of his song 'When I'm Gone'.

I still listen to a lot of his music before Encore though, like Lose Yourself, The way I am, Mosh, Just lose it etc.
He's still the best rapper though in my opinion, and I don't think his songs from Relapse are bad, their just not as good as his older songs.

I like anything he does generally, although relapse was heavily random and about incest rape crap which was kinda uneeded.

i loved eminem upto and including encore, then i went off him while he stopped making music. still don't mind a bit of the old stuff, but relapse is lame.

I think his serious stuff is alright, can't really stand the ones like the single he had out recently.
