What games do you plan on getting this year?

2010, a good year for gaming it seems with Mass Effect 2 dropping on 29th Febuary and Bioshock 2 shortly after it's already looking to be a good year, last year wasn't so great with about the only interesting releases being Batman, Borderlands, Forza 3 and Call of Duty: MW2, not a great year for gaming but it was definatly giving what many of us wanted, 2010 on the other hand seems to have something for everyone, both Battlefield 2 and the modern installment of Medal of Honour dropping, not to mention Call of Duty 7, all 3 of which I plan to get, so as far as FPSs go that's about all you need.

Then a whole load of Third person and open world games coming including Just Cause 2, Mafia 2, Alan Wake and Fable 3, again alot of good can come of it, obviuosly these aren't for everyone but I'm sure there is something coming, basically every game I intend of getting is featured in this video, with a few exceptions. :)

That game's going to be terrible. ODST was the worse investment I've ever made, once I ever get done with all the achievements, damn. That game is going to get sold or given away, it's so bad.

Well, this is a shock. According to a recent financial release from Ubisoft, we can expect a new "episode" of Assassin's Creed (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/assassins-creed) within the company's next fiscal year, starting April 2010. That includes this year. Want another shock? It's going to have an "online multiplayer mode." Considering the second in the series has already moved six million units, it's not a huge surprise, but this does seem pretty darn fast.

Now before you get too excited, this doesn't necessarily mean we'll be getting Assassin's Creed 3 (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/assassins-creed-3) by next April -- the release stops short of applying a number, and the use of the word "episode" leads us to wonder if this will be some kind of DLC add-on [Update: Gamasutra (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=26794) says it was told by Ubisoft that the note in the release "refers specifically to an entirely new game and not content associated with AC2."] Heck, there's not even a platform mentioned. We're contacting Ubisoft for clarification as we speak.
