View Full Version : Habbox News Feed
If this is necessary to have on the forum, at least sort the links out. They break in my browser.

I'm not a fan of this, it also stops people posting some things on the forum as they think it'll get posted anyway.
It used to be a mass race to post Habbo UK news on HxF, now it's done automatically? Ruins it imo.
that wasnt what i was getting at though :'(

ALL habbox links are linking to the homepage for me atm, including when I just enter the link to the rv pages - takes me to the index! So I don't think it's a problem with the actual news feed system.
Hm, I can see other pages though? I even clicked on the read more on the home page story and it worked fine. It's something to do with the php because all the stories load on habbox.com, rather than habbox.com/pagename
I don't know tho lol

that link in the first post is like doubled over aswell so possibly why it doesn't work.
As for pages on the site not working, there's something dodgy going on. I've fixed some, but if you come across any more that don't work please leave the page name in a pm or vm to me!!
That's the link I got from the news article in the thread. Which is what I'm getting at.

anoo, i dunno how to sort that though so youl have to wait for a forum person to come read
Oh I thought you meant I'd made it like that lol
I see, I'm not really that interested in habbo news anyway. Actually not at all lol, I just stumbled across it and since it's being posted, it may as well work! :P

Yeah, I agree.
Most of it is posted by users still in the Habbo UK News section anyway.
Also, whenever we edit our articles on habbox.com it automatically re-posts the article, which can be a huge pain moderation wise aswell, as I normally have to remove the duplicated articles.
At the end of the day, they don't get noticed much, they don't attract any discussion at all, and if people do want to read it, then all they have to do is go straight to www.habbox.com.
It's annoying for the "New posts" list too really, especially when it brakes (Quite often) and floods the forum.

Me too, when I was trying to get a News Trial half of the time the news was already being posted before I had chance to write anything. Good idea to scrap it I think :)
