Selena ftw

Also I like her singing (and some other stuff) but her acting is like putting a cactus in a blender. Looks nice but hurts in the end.

Gah. Since like 50,000 Brazilians joined habbo just to see pixel Demi, I think I'm screwed.

Oh well, there goes my romantic plan of regressing to a 15 year old just for a her.

Define "celebrity"?
She has millions of fans, released two albums, starred in 2 movies, has her own TV show, headlined a tour... If that's not good enough for your celebrity status I don't know what is

Pretty sure it was a joke lol..
What makes you think that?

A weel known person. If you ask anyone over 20who the hell Demi Lovato is they won't know her. Don't try and deny that

And Kyle always jokes. Sorry to break it to you.

Haaaaaaaaahahahaha. I can 100% deny that. I'm 22 and I'm a big fan. I also met lots of people yesterday who are over 20.

Your logic just fails... You can't define the "celebrity" status by how well known they are by a certain age group. You just have to accept that just because you don't know/like someone, doesn't mean they're not known or liked by others... It's a big world filled with lots of people who have differing tastes.

But even if that was the case, it's HABBO... It's aimed at tweens/teens... As is Disney... Perfect match. :eusa_wall

As for him always making jokes... Odd joke to make, but okay.

I can certainly define celebrioty status being if someone is well know by many. You being 22... wow? Sorry but most people ovr 20 would either have never of heard of her, or know her as another person from Disney that is supposedly the new Madonna.

In didn't say many, I said people in a certain age group (which is what you're trying to do). Please go and learn the definition of "celebrity". Just because she's not recognised by you, the people around you, your community or even your country does not mean she isn't a celebrity elsewhere. Then maybe you can come back and discuss celebrity culture with me.

Again, what you're trying to do is lump everyone into categories and give them certain attributes. The world, and people in it aren't that black and white.

on a side note, I can honestly say I've never heard anyone, ever call her the next Madonna... She sounds nothing like her.

Yeh shes respected by teenagers, and apparently you (clearly you are in the small minority dear). I am sure loads of 5 year olds love teletubbies - that doesn't make them a celebrity.

Again, you're missing the several points I've made. I'm not repeating myself.
Please don't try and argue with someone who is doing a degree in media and culture, you will lose, especially when you don't understand the concept of celebrity.

In all honesty I couldn't care if you the the Prime Minister - you are on HABBOxforum, therefore don't start acting professional.

Also: Celebrity = a widely known person

Now, ye you could say this Demi person is a celebrity to 11 and 12 year olds.

Are you seriously THAT ignorant?
I'm not acting "professional" I'm simply stating the FACT (and it is a FACT) that what you said is incorrect. Don't get butthurt.

Doesn't matter if she's well known by 10 million 13 year olds or 2 million 45 year olds, it's FACT that she is a celebrity. Like it or not.

As for the other points, I'm not repeating myself because it seems it's pretty pointless with you.

Bye :)
