Haiti Appeal
I don't want this to come across as preachy in any way whatsoever, however I just want to take a moment to ask you to think of those who are currently in a way less fortunate position as we are. As I'm sure you are more than aware, an earthquake struck Haiti on the 12th January 2010, causing severe damage not only to buildings and infrastrcuture, but to lives. An estimated 200,000 have died, with many more expected. The country is currently relying on donations to provide relief. Your money could go a long way.
I'm bringing this to your attention in this way is because of a few reasons. A member of General Management, infrequent, suggested we do a Haiti VIP with the proceeds going to relief efforts. Unfortunately, due to Sulakes awful rules, we cannot afford to do this. After server costs had to be paid for once again out of our own pocket once donations were factored in, and donated all VIP proceeds to charity, we can no longer afford to do this again.
Habbox have made a donation of £50 on behalf of everyone at Habbox, once again out of staff members pockets, but we urge you to donate also, if you have not done so already. No donation is too small, and every penny counts.
There are many ways to donate, but I will recommend the Red Cross. You can donate via their 24 hour phoneline on 0845 053 5353. Via the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) (http://www.dec.org.uk/donate_now/) you can donate via text by texting the word "GIVE" to 70077.You pay £5 plus your standard network SMS charge. Another way to donate is online by Credit or Debit Card, information of which can be found at this link (https://www.redcross.org.uk/emergencysite/Campaign.aspx?id=88917).
