What do you think to how habbo has changed over the years?

Right basically i was looking through my old comp the other day and came across all the old casinos.

Does anyone remember Mcguffin "Im Tuffin" and Xenophobia this was back when thrones were like 19 hc an it was really hard to get like 5.

Back when you could actually trade presents

Curly-Fry his rare trade room ALWAYS on pop list and it had like 1 yukka in lool.

And "Chivo" & "Budy" [or Buddy or something like that] their trade rooms.

Then the next gen came with like Specie and Button. with their dino casino and throne casino.

Then it went onto lukes casinos LR / Robbo / lRobbo / Tetanus

Then it was like ryan [Btw] and mike [Ecko/Kaq/Crans/Mr-iou] and Nyxta

Then it went stupid and people kept popping out of nowhere with like 400t

Now its completely changed new everything new layout new clothes features dances badges games etc.

It was so much harder getting rich back then and now you pop up with like 10 hc you can easily make 5t+ in a week.


I prefered it back then imho what you all think? :rolleyes:

I miss the old client and the old console. Two things that were absolutely fine the way they were; though I'm sure they'll say it's vital for progress but I'm not convinced. I miss scripting and controversial hotel managers (Jibbi and Callie). I miss a lot.

I dont think its easier now, then again i hardly ever go on.

I remember when thrones were like 20hc haha. I had one and sold it for 21.

Basically Habbo's target market has gotten much younger. When it began it was aimed at (older) teenagers but now it's probably aimed at kids from like 8 upwards. That in itself suggests it's not going to be much fun for older people any more. The way it's gone all commercial is really unattractive as well.

I really think I'd still be interested if it remained the same as it was around 2003. My latest memories of Habbo before I left are of kids who clearly didn't have a clue about it rather than years ago when it sort of felt like you knew everybody and everybody knew everything about Habbo. It was also much more of a challenge to get furni and even build rooms. Now there's no creativity involved in making a room because they've pretty much made furni for everything. The Habbo "style" has gone out the window as well because everything just looks like it's off The Sims and even the Habbo characters don't have the same unique look they once had.

tl;dr - I liked Habbo Hotel, I don't like Habbo.

It was Budy, i remember trashing him, not once, not twice but three times.. All on the same account (he never removed my rights?) lol!

And what about Frootbooter or whatever he was called?
I also remember being able to trade presents, they stopped because of the scamming. I also remember the scripted photos where you clicked on one and it said "you have been banned for: BEING A ******!" or whatever custom reason you wanted! Or when you clicked on one it made the custom furni appear. Wow, the old days!

I don't like how habbo has changed, i miss the simplistic days, but there is no going back really.

Seeing Habbo has now lowered the amount of credits you get for your money all they seem to care about is making money now :(

I think habbo now has a bigger appeal to smaller kids. Personally i don't enjoy habbo, I have quit so many times, but always came back because of djing. If i wasn't a DJ im sure i wouldn't be playing habbo..

But, I don't like the new changes in habbo, it is really starting to get kids , i remember when habbo was all like 13-15 year olds, good times . anyways thats my opinion, Also more Edating, and pervs coming on, ;S asking for peoples msn + cams , its a scary world what people are like now.

I only came back about a week ago, and it's changed so much :( I felt like such a noob asking what a gold bar was for :P

Old habbo was more fun for me, but i guess i was younger then so had more to enjoy about it.
I dislike the ability of trading creds tbh. I have 2100 which means i have £210 of someone's real life money, which makes me feel a bit weird for some reason.

I joined in 2006, and i guess i do miss it, but then on the other hand they don't do these updates just to annoy us, they do it to bring more people into Habbo and mostly improve it.

One thing I miss the most has to be the glittery gold HC badges, i remeber buying 12 months of it just for that badge, and then they went and changed it lol :(

jrh2002 had a decent casino, Bluweesh (I think that was his name) had a decent casino.

I quit in like 2007 maybe? can't exactly remember, but I think I quit at V9, because I could tell there was gonna be a load of crap coming towards habbo (e.g like 200 different more versions) it looks quite boring, all the old furni was the best. one of the reasons why I quit.

It's funny looking back of screenies I took back then, all the rooms look so basic. Back when all your furni was either rare or norm and there was none of the catergorized stuff (not including the limited seasonal stuff they had on offer). Then the HC gifts were all valued and worth something, Oooo and the rares section in the catalogue for 25 creds- I miss that. Back before I had black sunglasses to cover my weird habbo eyes, and when hobbas used to turn up in rooms every so often. Whoever mentioned the trade rooms, I remember those! You'd search 'Trade' and there'd always be about 5 that were always busy. Did one belong to someone begining with S? a name like Sammia? etc

Getting 2T back then was pretty easy, I don't remember even really trying (I know they were only 20hc though :P), but after I gave them away and left for over a year coming back it was 10 times harder to get a couple of T. Probably why I'm still worth that, like I was in 04 haha.

I've been playing habbo for about 18 months over 3 accounts and its changed quite a lot, but I think most stuff from stuff like youtube i.e. the raids and loads of other stuff happened before I even heard of habbo, so sometimes it's a big shock to think how much habbo has changed since it first started to now.
