I understand it was being somewhat spammed but wouldnt you just ban the people doing it from the rs section and if they continuted then ban them in general? I mean i know the rs section isnt that live anymore and the spamming is sorta funny but other people who actually wanna post shouldnt lose it.

To be fair, I agree. People spam threads like that because they don't take the subject seriously (in this case Runescape), so closing the thread is pretty much a victory for the spammers.

The thread has been closed because there is no real reason for it when you have the "Goals & Achievement" forum to post your levels and whatever else in. :)

I guess thats a good reason but do you really want a new thread made everytime 1 person lvls? If anything id just move that stickied thread to the Goals and Achievements section?

We had people complaining that the section was lifeless and that nobody was posting their anymore. This will help make that section more lively :)
That is how it used to be before that thread was made.
