Mixing drinks [+9 rep]

I didn't know whether to put this here or in food and drinks.

Anyway, mixing alcoholic drinks isn't a good idea, for instance drinking beer and then midori or whatever will make you throw up eventually. Is it the same principle for mixing spirits? Like drinking Bourbon and then whiskey then vodka??

Mixing any drinks in general is a bad idea really, depending how well you handle alcohol. Spirits are just as bad if not worse, depending on what spirit it is you drink. But yeah, generally if you don't drink much it's gonna make you ill. I can drink loads of Vodka Cokes and not be sick but the moment I drink something else with it (normally a shot, tbf) I'll start feeling ill.

Mixing shots isn't such a good idea, I've been okay mixing Aftershock with Sourz but once I'd been drinking bacardi and later had a vodka and it made me imidiately sick ofcourse i'd had like 4 pints of cider aswel so I don't know if that could of affected it.

mixing spirits is never good. Though everyones body reacts differently but yh itl eventually make you sick, or just really ill.

What we tend to do on a night out is get everyone together beforehand with whatever they want to drink (because it's literally 15x cheaper to buy spirits outside of clubs even at the very cheapest ones) and some people will inevitably drink cider or beer because they're rubbish but yeah we sit about having drinks and some pro evo or something and then come 10pm mix whatever's left in an empty 2l and share it around on the walk to town. We're usually all fine, sometimes one or two have a tactical vomit then continue but everyone's happy

I have a vodka bottle waiting and I was thinking maybe a Bacardi 151 just because a mate at work keeps recommending it.

We usual have "pre drinks" at a mates house but it's really just beers and a few people have spirits.

I'll +rep who I can later. Any suggestions on decent shots?

Vodka is the easiest drink for me to drink but I don't think that's the same for everyone
micky finns is like 4 quid or somet n a bottle of that gets me pretty drunk tbh ;$

before a night out on town we usually head to the pub. start on beer and get a few shots in aswell, as soon as we hit town it's hard on the spirits and even harder on the shots. An average night out on the town for me is £70-£100.

151 is hella expensive from my experience, but yeah stay away from beer that stuff should be kept for a couple at a pub and not for properly going out :P for shots I'd just do whatever spirits you have around, it's not really meant to taste nice because it's only there for a second, and the ones that do taste better are usually a lot weaker

That is a ridiculous amount to be spending, especially in Brighton where you can pop over to Yate's and get shots for a quid each or Pasha for the weaker 50p shots. I would not be able to enjoy myself knowing I've spent that much unless I've bought coke (which I wouldn't anyway considering the cheaper options) or brought home a hooker

Yeah, but in australia its so much more macho and common to buy beer. Its literally the only thing you see guys drink over here in pubs and clubs!

Bacardi 151 costs $60 or $70 for 700ml here. And i doubt i'll be finishing that in one night! I spent $30 on vodka the other day and that'll last me maybe 2-4 weeks, depending on what I drink (beer or spirits etc).

drinkin it straight burned like **** and it didn't go away either it left a feelin in the back of me throat
but i didnt mind it and it was gone by mornin

That's cheaper than I've ever seen it but then again it's not actually sold in UK that I know of so has to be imported from online, still more than I'd spend on one bottle though :P
How much vodka do you get for that? $30 AUD is about £16 I think which would get you around 1.5l depending on if you buy it branded or cheap lol

You're only supposed to have 2 shots max of absinthe that strength because of its volume, apparently. There's an extreme health warning on the bottles. I had it at a premiere once as the event was sponsored by it, but it was only 40% and I drink stronger whiskey.

My friend was pissed off 2/3 shots and his girlfriend was pretty tipsy too after 2 shots but me and my girlfriend still felt fine after about 5/6 shots (including 1 mixed) it was strange.

Lol I've never even had sambuka cos once in a retaurant years ago, my dad and uncle etc all got flaming sambuka and they were served with coffee beans in them so he let me taste the sambuka from the coffee bean and I was like EUUGHHHHHHHH.

Yate's and Pasha are horrible places though. I'm also not allowed in Pasha but I'm not going into that. I usually start off with spending £30 in the pub, then a ton more money in Oxeygen on the Jagerbombs for £1.50 each then hit a seafront club.
