I personally believe the creation of such a site negates the point of real Habbo fansites. I've never had anything against Ludus - I believe he tries his hardest to do what he thinks is best and gets more involved in the community than a lot of staff, which is most definitely a good thing. The creation of a fansite, on the other hand, is maybe just a little too far. The point of fansites is that normal Habbos can create a site dedicated to Habbo. A member of Habbo staff doing this is just... weird? And pointless, he should be doing his job and this is getting a little too involved in the community and it is inevitably going to have a negative affect on the other real fansites ran by dedicated Habbos rather than a bunch of sucks ups; as it will be in the case of this website.

It's actually a really good site and you should become a user before criticising it. Just because you might not like the staff member in question, not that you have a genuine reason to dislike him doesn't mean his site won't be good. It is going to be vast. A lot of people from Habbox already on there. Me, Liam, Kyle, Chaz, Catzsy and others. It has a good community and already has over 11k posts and 426 members and has been open two days.

I don't see why his age is important. He has made it to be able to talk to Habbos easier and get a feel of what they want to actually improve Habbo and he's doing this from cash out of his own pocket. Sure, I don't agree with him taking staff from CH like he did but you can't blame him for taking the best people for the jobs.

Rather than criticising without seeing and experiencing the site just sign up and visit for a few days and then maybe some of your views will have an ounce of validity in them. I will reserve my judgement for at least a month or so to see if it takes off. I think it will but only time will tell. Give the forum time and I bet a lot of you who have posted in here criticising will be joining and posting on a regular basis.

Not really. It's because there are a lot of active threads that users want to participate in. All threads that are spam in the pre-opening forum will be moved to spam. Peoples posts count will be halved, mine included. It's not going to make me leave the forum because post count isn't important.

The only reason the website HabboForum.net even has members at the moment is because a Habbo Staff owns it. People can say what they want, but that is the fact. If I had created the site, it would lack staff or members.


See it like Manchester City :P It's a forum that is able to attract the best people that have been related with fansites over the last few years. Like Manchester City can get all the best players. However, it's not bigger than the biggest clubs United/Madrid/Barca but it has plans to compete healthily. City have taken players from the bigger clubs to try and make their club better - HabboForum is doing the same.

With regards to VIP, I agree it should be given back to fansites but that's way over his head and came straight from Sulake rather than Habbo UK HQ staff.

It attracts people because a Habbo Staff owns it. Are yous seriously telling me if a normal Habbo was to start a site now, you would join it now as staff? No.

The site is a disgrace. Ludus seems annoying. I agree when he does competitions etc, but actually making his own fansite and advertising it on Habbo is inexcusable. It gives an unfair advantage to all other fansites who have actually dedicated a lot of time and money to get their fansites to the stage it is now. Then a Habbo staff comes along, makes a fansite for the site he works for, advertises it on Habbo and gets members. This isn't helping the fansite community, its simply destroying it.

What Ludus is effectively doing is ensuring that the people who have made fansites for the site he works for are annoyed. The people who have dedicated their time in promoting Habbo are annoyed.

He is taking it too far and seems to have become with this e-fame.

Well one of the problems is to apply for a mod job you have to post at least 300 times so I think it has encouraged a lot of spam. Not a good move really. Would have been better to get some mods in place prior to the opening.

I've seen threads with pages of spam and then every few posts (maybe one or two per page of spam) has a moderator edit. I'm not trying to shoot the project down here, it just gives me the impression that a guy has basically came along, thrown a few random people together and expects everything to run like clockwork. I guess it is just a fansite after all; I probably just have too high expectations :P

That's such a stupid and immature post, it's unreal.
The management were hired as they all have experience, yes, the fact that they're "known" on the client is beneficial for events and such, but it's not primarily why they were hired.
As for the moderation - that's only just been properly sorted out, you'll see a lot more order from now on.

When I was using HxF regularly all people used to do was complain about how patheticly strict the moderation here is. At HF we have a much relaxed atmosphere, if that means letting an unintentionally "Habbox deemed" pointless post slide here and there, then I'm fine with that.

I think you'll find most of us - at least Catzsy and I for sure - are merely stating our criticisms which I believe have been presented in a constructive manner. Also nobody said anything about taking anybody's owner or whatever. One or two people might have mentioned that some staff left Club Habbo for Habbo Forum but that's about it

In a different thread about Ludus/Habbo Forum, I saw people asking to be unbanned (in fact I'm sure even you asked Jake, before you were hired) and I think those requests were granted. I might be wrong but I think that might be what DUBSTEP was getting at

I got given a warning for this one post, on Hxf you go offtopic often (well i do) and i never get anything other then a pm every so often, first spam post on there and i got a warning yet the forum is full of spam..

Just because I'm willing to give people a second chance unlike the forums you're used to using doesn't make us what DUBSTEP said. The forum is a lot more lenient, yes. Just to add for Rosie, I appealed that warning - it wasn't reversed - you'd never get that on HabboForum nor HFFM or CH for that matter.

Our rules are pretty decent with regards to pointless posting ~ if it doesn't contribute to the thread you'll get a PM, post edit or maybe a warning, depending on severity and how pointless it is. Last night, we decided we were going to be a lot more lenient and hesitant before giving out warnings and use post edits instead.

I've done the exact same on hxf before, and got a post edit, nothing more. Thus in my eyes HF is stricter then Hxf.

Well I do agree that they should expire but I wouldn't necessarily agree with you on the mod manager. Way too soon to tell. Preparation is 80% of the way to success. He doesn't seem to have done much of that.

You can all say what you want, but the fact is, the management accepted the job as a Habbo staff owns it, and the site only gets hits because a habbo staff owns it. If anyone says no to it, they need to wake up and open their eyes.
