I used toothpaste, and it does work sometimes! :D I used to put some on whilst in the bath and it did the trick.

I did have this cream stuff as well, which used to work.

Luckily hardly get spots anymore, but when I was younger they were a pain!

I would go see a doctor Richie, there is loads of creams they can give you as well as some anti biotic tablets. If that doesn't work then you can go back again and asked to be referred to a dermatologist who can then prescribe strong stuff such as roacutane which will definitely get rid of them. :D

Salt water does work, just like when you are on holiday in the sea it unclogs pores and leaves your skin in better condition. The sun also helps, so I guess you can just for now use creams and so on and just wait until summer and get down the beach as much as you can. :P

i wouldn't think so, i tried it once but my skin is so sensitive it irritated it and made it more inflamed.
the best way to get rid of spots is to PREVENT them. so get into the routine of washing your face morning & night with ACTUAL face wash for your skin type instead of soap as its way too harsh, followed up by moisturizer. drinking loads of water helps as its flushes out all the bad stuff as does sweating from exercise - hence why undertaker reckons the sun is good for clearing up spots. it's not, sun is one of the most damaging things for your skin ever, along with smoking which was my problem. the sun just makes you sweat and therefore flushes out the stuff causing the spots but it also gives you MORE..
sounds cliche but drinking water, washing your face, eating the right foods, exercise & sleep really help. people don't drum it into your head for no reason.
also i don't believe the whole "i try everything, my spots just come back!" thing. obviously not trying everything, i have oily skin (thanks mum) which is more likely to be acne prone but getting into routine definitely helped.
that said - if i do feel a spot coming on the best thing ive found is putting tea tree oil on a cotton ball & dabbing it on. not sure about sudocream but toothpaste only gets rid of the redness not the actual spot, imo anyway.

so you either get into routine and not be lazy or take the "easy" way out and get prescriptions with possible side effects. unless it's in your genes you're probably pretty much ******. :)

exercise = better & more sleep! they all tie in together :P
its an oil (obv) you can probably buy it in any chemist, then you can get face wash *cough* (A). it's used in dandruff/lice shampoos, it also helps with psoraisis and ... thrush :eusa_whis basically kills a lot of infections so makes sense it'd be good for spots :P but like i said i have oily skin so it doesn't dry my skin out much yet still gets rid of them

You could try yeah, just give it a go for a week and see how it goes? - I know it works in the sea and sun works the best out of everything. Although buttons is right aswell, when your run-down they come out so get good sleep and so forth and they should start to clear up.

I got really bad problem with spots too. I've been drinking lots of water; been doing more exercise and getting outside etc; I've got a routine of face wash, creams and face wipes, which I've been following religiously for several months; and yet still the surface of the moon is in better condition than my face!

Never neglect to wash your face at least twice a day and especially after a busy day since your face is all covered with dust and oil.

Also,if your face is always oily, get some oil blotting papers to minimise the oiliness especially in the T-zone area.

Don't touch your pimple, leave it alone but put some cream on it.Touching your pimple will only leave scars and ruin your looks

i just pop it, then rub a bit of aftershave in it.
bit nippy but it works.
can also use TCP but you wont smell as good after it :)

if its acne, not just the odd spot, then i wouldnt recommend doing this.

Firstly buy any facial wash by Nutragena or Witch, both companies use fragrance free products and oil free so it helps in the long run if you prefer another brand dont buy and sainsburys owns brand for a quide buy the well known brands or something the pharmacists will say is a good product also either purchase Quiniderm(cant rember spelling) cost 4.15 can be bought at all chemists or either Panoxly Acne gel there both creams to be put on you face quinderm should be used twice a day and to be applied thinly which you could wear to school etc and it dosent smell so you could pass it of as an body lotion if anyone ask why you face is more radiant, but panoxly acnegell cant it comes up like an mask with white flakes, even thought this will be your best shot you wont be able to use during the day only when at night but i recommend panoxly acnegel, finally if u still attend school you maybe getting acne by you touching the school tables and touching your face you should maybe experiment, maybe smudge you hands on the table and when you get home see how dirt you wash off from you hands and when u lay on the table and put you hands on you face when you touched the table you may find out where you actually getting this acne from , this is how my spots got bad

You should actually try not to wash your face more than twice aday, as this extracts any natural oils. When washing, use luke warm water, too hot, and it burns, too cold and your pores close. Ive used everything going for my spots (sudocrem, baby bum cream, all the highstreet creams, tea tree oil, blotting papers, toothpaste etc etc) and nothing has seemed to work. The thing the guy on the first page talk about are actually called tetracycline tablets. They come in various strengths, but its often oxytetracycline that they will prescribe. i was on these for over a year, and found that i became immune to thier effects, although they started out good. I am now on my 4th month of accutane, which are tablets that are basically a face peel. Its working great with only getting a few spots every month, however they only presccribe these to patients that have tried all other routes, as they are expensive drugs.
My advise is, dont mess around, go see your doctor instead of wasting your money on highstreet products that dont work.

shrugs, well it works fine for me.I suppose different people have different reaction towards pimples. Some products work good on them, some don't.But yes,I agree you should see a dermatologist

tbh not really
If none of those thigns are working for you visit your local doctor, they will perscribe you with a cream.

It can depend on your skin so treatments react different to different people.

But don't worry they'll go soon its just puberty x

i'd go to lush and ask, cause they use natural ingredients and i've heard loads of praise about their products!

Yeah like buttons said, too much sun is really bad obviously but too little is bad for how your skin looks. My spots always go away on holiday (ALWAYS) because it's always hot and sunny. Try to go out more or get one of those painfully bright lights for S.A.D.

Don't ever pick your spots if they're not white. You could scar and they're more likely to get bacteria in them from your fingers. Basically stop touching your face! The obvious things really, heaps of people get ache and if you go to the doctor, you'll usually get something that works.

OHH and get a peppermint facemask from lush. it smells sooo good and makes your skin feel so smooth.

Oil and alcohol based stuff just dries out your skin which just results in the moisture/greasiness being replaced soon after. Use tea tree/ clay based products.
