I’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone who listens to The Mix Radio via The Mix Cube, iTunes, Mobile or On Demand and thanks for your feedback and interaction on the shows the presenters do, it’s really great. Now, you may have noticed a slight change in music over the past few weeks on air and we’ve heard through Feedback, Facebook, Twitter & the MSN that you are loving it.

Our very own Denzil Lacey is the head of music here at The Mix Radio and has been making tweaks to the music we all play, during The Mix Radio Work Day, during our selection of live shows on weekday evenings and at weekends. The changes have put a breath of fresh air in to The Mix Radio and has resulted in our listening figures increasing over the past 14 days.

Putting music aside though and as January is almost over, it’s February soon where we’ve got a few birthdays we’d like to promote:

The Mix Radio will be 1 on February 2nd
Aaron Linstead will be 17 on February 3rd
Georgia Kain will be 17 on February 14th

During the week of The Mix Radio’s birthday, you’ll hear the return of former Radio 1 & Heart FM presenter Emma B presenting 99 From The Noughties over the course of 4x 2 hour shows over 4 days from 10.00am & 11.00pm Monday to Thursday (10.00pm on Tuesday). This show originally aired on New Year’s Day as an 8 hour special so if you were listening then, you will have heard it before.

This year, myself and the team at The Mix Radio want it to be a good one for the station so we’ve spoken about changes that I would like to make to the station schedule on The More Music Weekend. This doesn’t mean any one is leaving The Mix Radio, but it does mean a few new people will be joining and 2 people will move to different days & times at the station:

Mikey leaves Sunday and continues with his Saturday lunchtime show at 12.00pm and Tuesday afternoon show at 5.00pm
Dan Wells leaves Sunday mornings and continues to present ‘Dan & Jayme In The Afternoon’ every Wednesday at 3.00pm
Neil Doherty leaves Saturday afternoons and continues to present his Thursday afternoon show at 5.00pm
We’re bringing in new shows with 2 BIG presenters who have presented on Capital FM, Radio 1 & Heart FM and we’re also bringing in a replacement for Mikey’s Sunday show, who is the brother to the lead singer of one of the UK’s fastest growing boy group; more will be revealed nearer the time.

We’ll also be introducing news updates to all of The Mix Radio’s evening shows and also to all of The Mix Radio’s weekend shows too. There’ll also be a brand new website for TheMixRadio.co.uk and a revamp of The Mix Cube too.

Thanks for reading this, and if you have any questions or comments please add them.

Don't listen to TMR that much but the schedule looks good. Can't wait to see the new layout.

Good luck.
