Gona say 2-1 Arsenal if we have the big names playing. I hope Song plays CB instead of Campbell because I don't think he can handle this game yet. It's a shame about Vermaelen but hopefully he should be back properly for Liverpool and Chelsea. Arshavin, Nasri, Rosicky, Bendtner and Walcott should be enough attack and then Fabregas, Denilson, Ramsey in CM. I think we will have a problem in finishing and dealing with Rooney so that could hold us back and it could end up 3-1 United so we'll have to see, I can't call it.

Nani has played well lately but surprised Valencia didn't start. How will Arsenal line out? Who plays midfield/attack? I see no player I'd consider a striker there, Arshavin with 5 man midfield?

Only if your at one of the 9/10 pubs across the country. And that's our strongest line-up possible so hopefully we can get a result. Also, Arshavin will play as our striker like he has done a few times before. Wouldn't be surprised to see Bendtner around the 60th Minute.

how can you say that wasnt deserved?
Nani ripped three defenders apart, the cross had almunia stretching and couldnt do anything but get some contact on the ball. if almunia didnt get that touch, it still would've been 1-0 because park was there waiting.
Nani is on great form.
A terrific break for the second goal.
We've been the better of the sides, you must agree, we've both had chances, but we've had the most and made the most out of them.

CHA!NGANG
31-01-2010, 05:14 PM
I wouldn't say that. The lesson we've been tought is to buy a bloody striker. We've had enough chances to get some strikes on target but we haven't put any away.
StefanWolves
31-01-2010, 05:16 PM
Eduardo, Arshavin, Walcott, VNP, Nasri, Bentdner (sp?), + Fabregas in midfield.
That really should be enough, you cannot blame this on signings, you are just being outplayed at the moment.

Meh the defence hasn't been great I agree but the first goal was unlucky. The 2nd goal was fair play. The 3rd was because we were going after a goal ourselves so was bound to happen. I do think we need a new Keeper though. I mean the Park goal was good yes but I'm sure that Casillas, Valdez e/t/c would have saved it if im honest, it was reachable.
We've had quite a few shots and we need an out and out striker. Oh and Wolves out of those, only Bendtner, Eduardo and RVP are proper strikers. RVP is injured, and Eduardo and Bendtner have injury problems so we need to at least get one on loan for the rest of the season. Denilson doesn't do it for me either, he has good strikes on goal at times but we need someone else there. I think if we just invested in 1-2 new players, we would be in for a real title shot but before this season started I said we should be aiming for 3rd place and I still think that should be our goal now and maybe 2nd. I highly doubt we will win with the current squad to be honest and we really should have gone for the League cup.

None of them are natural out and out strikers. All supporting strikers.
StefanWolves
31-01-2010, 05:33 PM
Still strikers and your manager players them as strikers on the wings.
CHA!NGANG
31-01-2010, 05:36 PM
What? lol. I'm saying that we need to buy an out and out striker as we only have Eduardo, RVP, Bendtner. RVP is out and Eduardo and Bendtner are inconsistant. I know we have lots of wingers, but that's not what we need, there's a difference between a winger and an out and out striker and we need the 2nd.

Yeah but of those wingers most of them can play up top down the middle anyway.
You don't really need another striker :/
Bendtner is terrible!
CHA!NGANG
31-01-2010, 05:52 PM
I'm really confused. The main player we need is another striker which is why that's the position Arsene Wenger has been trying to buy, I thought everyone knew that :S
And yes they can play as a striker when needed, but they're not natural strikers...
It's like playing Gerrard as a striker for 5-6 games. Maybe as a once off it could work but you can't play him there forever. Walcott is similar to SWP and Lennon. You wouldn't play either of them as an out and out striker would you. Nasri and Rosicky are like Lampard and Gerrard. You wouldn't play them as strikers would you. Arshavin is like Kaka. You wouldn't put him as a striker, although he is the next best thing. I think you get the point.

Tell you what, Gallas just needed to get a glancing header and that was 2-3 and with 7 minutes to go, could've easily been more goals.
But wasn't to be. We played an amazing game today. The back four are really doing well this season. Tbh, I couldn't really notice that Vidic and Ferdinand weren't playing.
