Aldi's special offer this week is a Multimedia PC MEDION® AKOYA® E4355 D. It's a seriously good buy for the price and I mean seriously cheap for what it is. It includes the latest Core i3 processor and many other great features. If you are looking for a new PC (for normal use, etc), I suggest buying this!

It's a brand you've never, ever heard of in your entire life from some obscure country like Turkmenistan.
It's not that good of an offer really.
wow that looks a great price... but hey what do i know

The only thing that ought to be upgraded is the GFX card, which is easily done.

I wonder, if you bought it and stuck it on ebay how much profit could you make? I'm sure people would pay more than that for that machine!

You could probably strip it and sell the components for more :p

@Above
Actually, thinking about it, you probably could. I'm trying to tempt my mum to buy one for downstairs.

Wish i had the money spare. Could probably make a profit on that if i didnt want to use it for myself.

for those who haven't heard of Medion before its a German company which sells computers and laptops much like dell does in catalogues that come in the newspaper.
The reason that package is so cheap is because its only the base unit, a screen is needed separately. They can also sell things cheaper here at the moment because the Euro has high value against the Pound at the moment and Aldi is also a German supermarket chain.

Medion* - And they are, yes.
What am I not getting?
To me that's ~£350 to custom build.

How long does the offer last?

I'm sort of glad I don't have the money because I'm so tempted but I dodn't even need a PC. Also doesn't it have a monitor? ^o)

Really? I thought the i3's were like £200 alone.

Half that. Then knock a bit more off.

Lowest is £97 that I can see. Anyway the price is still good for people who can't custom build or normal families.

Medion are very good :) Back when they appeared in Tescos (many years ago) they sold one which came with a blu-ray player, 500GB and a Quad Core processor for only £500, which was dirt cheap back then (about 2 years ago now). They're reliable, but if they go wrong the Customer Support is terrible, but no-one uses customer support anyway.

Medion are fantastic, despite being a budget brand. I remember many years ago I purchased a 1.33 GHz Medion computer from Aldi for around £600, still going strong to this day.
